Such an amazing stay. It was more of a resort style stay with a spa and a few restaurants to enjoy. It's rooms are rustic and keltic with live music. Couldnt of stayed in a better place in ingonish!

Absolutely stunning and incredible place to stay, absolutely add this spot to your trip! And don't forget dinner at the restaurant. I asked my girlfriend of 9 years to marry me and she said yes this weekend at this very resort 🤗 We will absolutely be returning.

The setting could not have been more beautiful. We stayed in the older “main” lodge. Not super modern, but that was a big part of its charm. Enjoyed a short hike along the Middle Head train which started just a few hundred yards from the lodge.

The property is beautiful with amazing views. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The middle head trail is supposed to be a wonderful hiking haven but it was closed due to recent fire in Nova Scotia. Otherwise, the beaches are excellent options.

The main lodge was fairly loud so neither of us slept well - can’t say it was worth the price. Nice location and beautiful views though.

Great place to stay!

This was a great place to stay while skiing near by. The hotel had the most beautiful view of the hills and water. The room was clean and big, had everything we needed. My only complaint is that the TV is across the room from the bed and makes it very hard to see. The room we had was a premium room in the Corson house, which is where their main desk is located on the off seasons. Pulling up to the main lodge it looks extremely run down and I would have been scared to stay in that location. All together this hotel is beautiful and worth it when staying in the area!

4/10 Fair

An overpriced hotel, badly run by a government agency. It is in a wonderfull location with a prime golf course. Unfortunately it is badly maintained and has lost its former quality. Staff is uninterested, installations often out of service and the restaurant has an atmosphere of a bad office cantine. One of the locations that still live of the reputation it had some 20 years ago.

The lady at Spa was very rude and not welcoming at all.

Very poor value for condition. Ocean front view consists of parking lot view with open garbage dumpster below. Restaurant meal at Arduanne was awful.

This is a little overdue, however I definitely wanted to post this. So I rolled in here on Friday February 2nd for a skiing weekend at Cape Smokey, and was due to check out Sunday morning February 4th...but after 120 cm of snow over the weekend, I didn't get out until February 6th. All I can say is that the staff were absolutely outstanding in what must have been a difficult situation for them in what was one of the worst snowstorms in decades. I recently heard that the main lodge is closing to be revamped, and would otherwise recommend The Keltic Lodge in a heartbeat. Many, many thanks!

6/10 Good

Positives: Nice property with a unique location. Great lawn area to sit and have a cocktail. Entrance to hiking path out to Middlehead very close to hotel. Downsides: We were there before the actual 'season' started (week before July 1st) and it seemed there was a lot of 'training' still going on with staff members - they didn't know answers to questions, etc. Registration location was not clear from entry drive into Lodge; we went to the Lodge but had to backtrack to another building to register. Our room was fine, but speakers playing music were left on (in lobby directly under our room ) ALL night long....very bothersome to sleep.
Monica, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The Pros- Lovely Location- STUNNING views in all directions. Food and drinks were amazing. Golf course(Highland Links) next door was top notch. Rooms were quaint, charming and clean. The cons- Service was slow at times-it’s early in the season so we assumed staff was new and training. The plumbing in the main lodge was a tad quirky. It took some work to get the shower on and the toilets didn’t flush well. We dealt with it but this could be a major issue in the high season. We spoke with the front desk and they were sending maintenance to look at it at checkout. We’re pretty easy going and didn’t let the quirks undo an amazing time with friends at such a beautiful location.
Gregory, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Not what I expected felt like I had seen pictures for a bigger and better room with a view. Never in my mind did I think I would have a view of the staircase. As well as for me and building which is fine yet no contact with the front desk. Not enough information. Very dissatisfied. With the size of the room for the price I paid.
