The room was clean but clearly worn in - tons of scuffs across the walls, a few crooked cabinets, etc. Overall the price reflects a 3/5 star experience, the major pain point for me was how noisy it was (even on the 5th floor).

Downtown location which was good and bad - no parking at all and luggage was a challenge - close to the sights of the harbour - bed wasn't comfortable for some reason - the suite itself was very kool and the furnishing looked brand new and an excellent kitchen set-up - the A/C was a portable unit and was not efficient at all in keeping the suite cool - it wasn't even hot outside - the was construction all around and inside the property - someone was moving furniture above us at all hours of the night and kept us awake most of the 2nd night - they offered 10 per cent off our next stay - no thanks - will never happen

Hotel was pretty easy to enter and was nice to be able to store luggage after checkout. Checkout is right at 11am, housekeepers were knocking on the door when we were packing up at 10:55. We stayed on the back side of the building and the pub below was heard until 2am so if you’re a light sleeper this probably isn’t the place for you.

Very nice and a good location but . . .

This is a very modern and comfortable and well-located hotel. My only quibble has to do with the no-humans approach. We reserved through Hotels.com, which neglected to send us a usable confirmation number. So we sat in the lobby for 45 minutes trying to solve the problem. Also, the code for entering the building worked precisely once. This is why patrons sometimes just propped that door open. The system is clunky.

Don’t do it

The elevator broke while there and because there’s no physical human within the building at a desk, I had to call the alarm/emergency line through the elevator itself. Called the phone number and it gives tons of options but never allows you to talk to anybody. Waiting over an hour in a boiling hot elevator for well over an hour waiting for a technician (not their fault). Wrote an email about my concerns and did not receive a reply about that. Simply “you were stuck in an elevator?”. Checking in was HELL as you need confirmation number and that wasn’t provided to me.

Let’s be honest…

Even though we received an email few weeks before our stay that the area was noisy, you should tell it right away when we book so we can better plan for an alternative. Also our room was facing the bar terrace and the wall was vibrating, so it weak to say it’s noisy, it is terrible and ear plug are not of any help. You should be even more transparent and reduce your price because it’s expensive for just few jours of sleep.

Overall very good experience!

Amazing experience at Cameo! The room was very clean and came with everything you would need for a longer stay (we were only there a night). Everything was contactless and they send you codes for your room and the front entrance during your check in. Many food options and lots of night life around. Your reservation gets you access to a few different patios and vIP access. You also have access to wifi and the hotels Netflix! Bed was very comfy aswell. My only complaint would be that because you’re so close to the bars/clubs you can hear the loud music in your room, so the sound proofing isn’t really the best, but they do provide ear plugs on your bedside table. Overall very good experience!

Extremely loud music beside us until 2am

We stayed at Cameo Hotel from a Friday to Sunday (2 nights in July). Both nights had extremely loud music until 2 am from directly outside our bedroom window. We could look down at a night club on a rooftop patio. My earplugs didn't even prevent to bass from traveling through my body. It was absolutely awful. There is no preparing for the loudness you are about to experience if you stay at this hotel on a weekend. Added to this... the accomodation has some sketchy building workmanship (IE: loose faucets, shower doesn't drain, hard bed, poor lighting mounted on the wall).

Numerous small issues with the room. Not critical but zero response from management. A larger problem is the entry codes to the building seldom work. Again no help from management. Terrible.
