Great hotel. Very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the great staff there, especially Nodirbek, who went above and beyond to made sure I had transport to the airport very early in the morning. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Informed as checking out early they would provide a packed breakfast but non provided.
Amazing location except needed help with taxi pickup/dropoff as cars can’t directly enter hotel.
Average cleanliness. Bathroom did smell however with hair on toilet seat on coming in. Needed bathroom door always closed to ensure bedroom was pleasant.

Awesome location! Great breakfast!
One weird quirk - the fan in the bathroom ran constantly and there was no way to shut it off. Not a major issue, but even with the door shut, you could hear the humming of the fan. Would def return though - even with the weird fan thing.

Clean, modern decor / excellent location
Hotel is in prime location, just a short walk to key attractions in Khiva.
Check in was a breeze as the staff instantly knew that i have a booking. The hotel feels modern, and the room is nicely decorated and clean. The photos I took didn't look as pretty as the actual.
Cars are not able to park directly in front of the hotel because the "main road" which leads to the attractions are only for carts and bicycles but not for vehicles. It's a short walk of less than 5mins to the (car accessible) road so it's not much of an issue. On our last day, the staff of the hotel helped to bring our luggage all the way to the car which takes us to the train station.
We are happy with our stay at Sangzor.

Ten minute walk to Registan Square. Expedia VIP so got upgraded to a junior suite. Rooms are clean and air conditioned, but are a little dark and have dated decor. Beds have fluffy pillows and comforter, but mattress is hard as a rock. Ask for an additional comforter to use as a mattress topper. Doesn't totally fix it, but makes it bearable. Mini fridge and complimentary bottled water. Decent breakfast buffet. No food available other times, but several restaurants nearby. Friendly, helpful staff that speaks English. In a pedestrian only zone, so taxis can't pull up in front. Must walk about a minute with your luggage. Was hard for taxi to figure out where to drop us.

Easy access to the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, Registan square, and Shirin Bika Aqa Mausoleum. The little downside is access to the Hotel in inconvenient as the hotel is located in a restricted zone.

For the price, the quality of the room and service were far below the standard. The bathroom had very strong smell, the toilet paper holder fell apart.

This was our first visit to Samarkand and we did a ton of research on where to stay. We decided on the Sangzor because of it’s location right next to the biggest sights in Samarkand. We are incredibly happy with that decision as we found the Sangzor to be the perfect hotel if you’re in town to see the sights. Location is the best of all hotels in the area, the hotel is spotless, the breakfast very good, and most of all, the staff are extremely helpful. Whether calling taxis, making dinner reservations, or walking you to rendezvous points to meet drivers, they went above and beyond. Highly recommend this hotel!

New built and nice
The hotel was good value, new built, no elevator (2 floors) but if you have a heavy bag it’s a bit inconvenient. The breakfast was good for Central Asia. The only big minus was the payment. We paid in advance but they wanted us to pay at arrival as well. I refused and contacted hotels.com who solved the issue.
