First time away with my partner on holiday for one night, the rooms were wonderful, nice spacious area and comfy beds. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Just wished the check in was before 3pm but overall wonderful hotel to stay in for a night away or two. Definitely coming back again.

Nice place to stay but poor quality breakfast

The location and service for this hotel were amazing. The room condition, bathroom etc, were clean and tidy. The only thing that was not appealing was the Breakfast. The choices were limited and not worth the value. The price paid for this breakfast was £15, but not satisfied.

Room 207

We often stay at this Ibis as it provides value for money when booking in advance, so this is at least the 5th stay. The bed is huge, but felt like it had a wooden plank securing the two beds together impossible to rest/lay on - so not ideal for a couple. Aircon was a blessing as this visit was during a heatwave. The hotel seems to struggle with staffing at times, bar can be painfully slow. Front door still opens at a snails pace. Staff have always been pleasant and friendly. Noise from the lift is very annoying, I'm sure the volume could be turned down. I'll always recommend this Ibis for a short break and for those unfamiliar with the area you couldnt get closer to the action - the beach is a few moments walk, plenty of bars and restaurants, 5 minutes to the train and bus stations.

The only issue is the facility to dry my hear whilst looking in a mirror. It was very difficult with the hair dryer cable being at full stretch as the mirror is half way down the corridor almost opposite the bathroom door & the nearest plug point is by the tea & coffee point

Receptionist seemed more interested in what she was doing than greeting us on arrival, people need to be aware of parking charge of £15 per 24 hours,as unless you go into on there website it doesnt state that charges apply. Took 3 trips to reception to get heating in the room,but the gentleman that did sort,followed up by coming to the room to make sure it was on and was very polite.pillows in rooms could do with upgrading as no support what so ever.but on the plus side,spacious bed,very clean room and hotel

Enjoyed our stay. Ibis was fine, great value for money & very dog friendly as was Paignton generally. But why, in late September, well after the main tourist season was over & with the beach almost empty, were dogs banned from the whole beach, not even allowed on a small section? Spoilt our holiday a little & that's why we won't be going back to Paignton.

Great location and all other things really but………. The heating system in in desperate need of attention, though the temperature of the room suited us when the heating pump kicks in it cavitates the noise was so loud it kept us awake even though we didn’t get in till gone 3am!

I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment with the service and conditions experienced during my stay at your hotel. Despite raising concerns during our visit, no action was taken to address the following unacceptable issues: • Air Conditioning and Room Comfort: The air conditioning and fan in our room were completely non-functional. The room had no windows that could be opened, resulting in unbearable heat—over 25°C—even in the evening. It was impossible to rest or sleep in such conditions. • Room Cleanliness: Our room had clearly not been cleaned, which added further to our discomfort and dissatisfaction. • Lack of Staff and Communication: Upon trying to get service at the bar, we waited 25 minutes before being told that staff should be starting soon. When we returned another 30 minutes later, there was still no one available. This was not a one-off occurrence—staff were notably absent throughout our stay. • No In-Room Phone: Our room lacked even a basic telephone. This is not only highly inconvenient but also a safety concern in the case of an emergency. I attempted to call reception multiple times from my mobile with no response, despite having call logs to prove my efforts. • Lack of Support: I was forced to come down to reception in person—while trying to get ready for bed—just to get any form of help. This is simply unacceptable and demonstrates a serious failure in customer service and hotel operations. Given these numerous issues, I am demanding
