The service was brilliant, with Angela going above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent stay. Stunning property, spacious rooms, very clean and comfortable. We were met by John who took excellent care of us but the other members of staff were just as helpful. The restaurant on site was not only convenient but served a tasty dinner and brekky. The weather was perfect and the pool highly enjoyable, overlooking tbe douro valley/river. I would recommend a bottle of wine while you're swimming. I would love to return here one day.

I hope to return to this area someday just to stay at quinta da marka! We were fortunate to have the whole place to ourselves and everyone made us feel like we were at home! If you have the chance to have dinner here during your stay you must, its beautiful home cooked foods. Annabelle and her mother took great care of us and made sure we were happy with our meals and would even ask us what we would want nex time. The house is huge and there is plenty to do, from the pool if the weather is warm, plenty of games and books and just watching the beautiful landscape. They also serve food throughout the day if you are hungry whilst there. Don't forget to also try their wines! Thanks also to Angela who was very kind and also took great care of us! Thank you to everyone who took care of us, truly an experience we will never forget and will tell for years

I spent one night here and had a lovely time. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was excellent. We were advised by Angela (the property manager) to ask for room 1 next time which has an incredible view of the valley.

Angela, the manager, is very friendly and helpful. So is her sister. She even invited one friend to sing with her for the guests before dinner on Thursday. I also enjoyed talking with one of the owners Carlos about plats and vineyards and winemaking in the region. We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta da Marka! It was beautiful and on such a picturesque spot along the river. It was so relaxing and a restful spot for our honeymoon. The train station is nearby to get to other cities if you wanted to, otherwise it is quite isolated in this area. Walking over to Quinta do Crasto for a wine tasting & tour was a highlight of the area too! The Quinta offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner which was very convenient. Angela was so helpful in getting us checked in and recommending things to do. We would recommend this to anyone heading to the Duoro Valley!
