The room was spotless and communal areas were very clean and tidy. It had a nice cosy atmosphere and staff were welcoming on arrival. Staff very helpful and polite during the stay. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of options to suit any taste. It was really nice to see local ingredients being used. Parking was fine, it was a bit tricky getting in the car park but we didn’t have any issues finding a space on the road if it was full. We had an evening meal which was also very tasty. Rooms had all you could need amenities.

Great stay, this is a proper bed & breakfast! Food at restaurant was excellent; we had dinner and breakfast there. Room was clean and spacious. Located in a beautiful village which is a 3-mile walk to Bibury.

A very pleasant pub Regrettably we had one of the rooms on the top floor in the eves This made getting into and out of bed a hazardous experience resulting in bruised head from the low roof Plus the step down to the bathroom and the low bathroom door added to either the charm or danger attached to the room depending on how you view it

Beautiful pub and room was decorated really comfortably. Bathroom was also decorated really well although a bit tired and the aircon unit outside the window was rattling away, couldn’t close the window to block the noise as it had been jammed open. Breakfast service was poor, waited 20 minutes before getting given a menu and then gave up waiting after that

On paper and first looks a beautiful hotel and in an amazing area. Breakfast was incredible. The only thing that let it down was the clientele on a Friday night. It appeared to be frequented by a large group of second home owners who congregated together with the biggest potty mouths ever. I’m not offended by bad language in the slightest but it was really loud and unnecessary and not tackled by the staff. It’s a shame as on paper should be amazing. Breakfast was also one of the best I’ve had.

I booked the New Inn with high expectations and initially we were impressed. Over time our initial perceptions changed. Yes, the food was very nice, but the menu is limited. Car parking can be an issue if the place is busy with no reserved spaces for guests. The shower mixer valve did not work leaving the water excessively hot and therefore could not use. When paying a premium price per night one expects all these things to work.
