This B&B’s location is hard to beat. You’re moments away from Via Etenea, about 5 mins from the Duomo and less than a minute from fantastic draft beer at the corner of Via Crociferi. The rooms are wonderfully decorated - with a lightly off-beat, personal touch. Shower pressure - because that does really matter - is fab. One thing to be aware of - the property doesn’t have external bathrooms so once you’re checked out, you’re done.

Great B&B with kind hosts

Our host had to walk to help us park our car as Google Maps didn't recognize the street access but our hosts were extremely kind and helpful. The room was great and our hosts helped us park the car. It was not easy exiting the hotel to get out of Catania as Google Maps had us go round in circles. We think this BnB is best accessed on foot or by taxi

The room was nice and clean with amazing tall ceilings! The air conditioning kept the room cool. Close by to the main area with all the shops and restaurants. Communication with the host Teresa was easy. She prepared a wonderful breakfast, and I was amazed at how she conversed in several languages with the different guests at the breakfast table! Clean room in a convenient location. Furnishings were eclectic and decorative but not functionally optimal (e.g., no desk, few and inconveniently located electrical outlets). No passenger elevator is available. A/C was not offered during a stay in May. Four (conventional) keys are required to access the room from the street, a considerable inconvenience. Internet service was unacceptably poor. Breakfast at this B&B cost extra and was not tried.

The property was very beautiful. It was clean. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. They seemed extremely concerned about safety, and electricity, everything was unplugged and kitchen not usable. It was noisy but I think that’s to be expected. It was very hard to find, would have been better if there were directions on how to enter property and driving and parking. Teresa was very helpful, kind & responded quickly.

We stayed in a fabulous, comfortable room and were well looked after by our host, Teresa. Main sites are easy walking distance, as are a wide range of bars and restaurants. The B&B is on a pedestrianised street so you don't have to worry about noise even though you're central (there are only three or four bars on the whole street, they don't attract a large or raucous crowd and they close promptly). Breakfast was lovely and served in Teresa's beautiful kitchen. Teresa and her husband also very helpful with advice re excursions, restaurant recommendations and taxis etc. Will stay here again if/ when we return to Catania. Nigel

Gem of a Bed and Breakfast located in heart of historic district. Teresa, the host, is terrific and accomodating. Dining options all around. 10 minute walk to Fish Market. 3 minute walk to major street with everything you need. Still, quiet and a nice place to calll home. If you have light bags, spring for the top floor apartment. Have to walk up bags last 20 or 25 steps.

Elegance and community

I elected this B&B for location in the historic center during the Festival of Sant'Agata, and because I loved the historic elegance of the rooms I saw in the photos. I was amazed to find how Teresa created such a welcoming environment for all the guests. I actually ended up taking a day trip with two women I met over breakfast! Teresa provided all the advice we needed for our stay. But I still enjoyed the luxurious privacy of my spacious room, with a tea tray, television, balconies, and excellent bedding. I am returning with my husband soon!

The room was awkwardly set up, there aren’t tables by the side of the bed and there aren’t a lot of outlets. All of the outlets that were in use required adapters. The cover of the bed had stains. The couple running the place was lovely. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Great location though.
