It appeared there was a transition going on as I learned after arrival they had been recently bought by hilton. All swimming pools were closed except one which made it unusually crowded most of the day. The lodge is ooma were small but comfortable. The walls were quite thin and/or the flooring not being carpet caused us to be able to hear our neighbors far into the night even with the additional fan we brought to drown out sound. The restaurant at the lodge was amazing! The concierge was also amazing and gave great recommendations.

I loved everything about my stay here; comfortable and clean accommodations, beautiful grounds, an on-site stables with many lovely rescued horses, wonderful restaurant inside the lodge, and a very welcoming and helpful staff. I would definitely love to stay here again one day! Thank you, Shenandoah Wilderness Traveler, for making my stay so enjoyable!

1st time staying there but it won't be the last. Everything is super clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful and had plenty of activities. Rented a golf cart for a day to explore the property and wasn't disappointed.

It was a lovely and comfortable resort. My boyfriend and I stayed two nights. The staff was very helpful with advice on getting into Charlottesville. The property was green and sprawling with animals and a private lake to fish and kayak on. The hotel room was comfortable and well maintained. I would love to come back someday and try the cabins they have!

Worth it! Reasonable pricing for activities. Great for family get togethers. A rememberable bonding trip made possible by the accommodations provided. We had the deluxe cabin, and even though the fireplace was not working, it was a great experience.

The property was absolutely beautiful, and the rooms seemed newly redone. The value for the money was outstanding. We loved stepping outside and seeing the horses and the beautiful lake. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

Our cabin #65 has many carpenter bees buzzing and digging holes in the exterior wall near the deck, table and grill. It was impossible to use the desk and difficult to keep the bees out of the cabin. The inside swimming pool was not functional causing our daughter big disappointment. We were not notified of the swimming pool being out of service until just before our arrival to the resort. I asked Expedia and the resort for some type of credit or other compensation, but we were denied. This resort visit was not very good.
