Will start with the positives followed by where hotel needs improvement. Very pleasant and kind front desk staff. Went out of the way to allow us to check into our room early after a long day of driving. Location of hotel was ideal. It is walkable to all the shops and restaurants. Hotel was very charming but rooms need improvement. Bathtub needs replacing or a deep clean, shower curtains need to be replaced asap. Bed was very high and may not be ideal for some people.

The room was very clean and well appointed. The bed and pillows were pretty decent. We loved that our room had its own private window in Florida room type sitting area, but all of our windows overlooked a roof, powerlines, and alley, and literally dumpsters. Also, the walls are thin enough that we heard every single thing that the loud couple next-door said at midnight and 6 AM. Also, the tiny bathroom isn't the most convenient thing in the world, but it is utterly charming. All this to say that the place is utterly charming, and we will actually be staying there again on any future trips to Martha. Its location is superb, it's. Architecture is spectacular, the front desk people were fantastic, and even the free coffee in the lobby was pretty darn decent. The food in the dining room was maybe 3 to 4 star, but the cocktails were fantastic and the service was great. Also, you can't beat the convenience. Besides, being able to take cocktails from the bar out onto the wonderful courtyard and drink next to the fountain or in the lounge area next door with a fire and the fireplace and all the charming art and photos – you just can't beat that.

For what we paid for this room I expected a quality hotel. The elevator was out of order. The bar/restarant was closed due to plumbing problems. The bathroom in our room was smaller than a bathroom in a 20 ft trailer. On a positive note, it was clean and was a good location

We were staying here to weigh it as an option for our upcoming wedding, and it left much to be desired. The room was dated and almost primitive. The shower shared the floor of the entire bathroom, like you’d find in a train car. Paint chipped off the bed. Low end accents. Motel quality hair dryer in the wall from another era. And the bar and restaurant was closed - the night of our stay and the night before. (The entire weekend.) we adore the architecture and the lobby, but this did not feel like a viable option for our wedding stay.
