This place was a 10 minute walk from SMN train station and around 15 minutes to the duomo. It is run by friendly nuns, secure, clean but sparce rooms with an excellent air conditioner for the really hot days Florence experienced. Washing machine on site.

This is a working convent and the accommodations very much reflect that. It is austere. The very minimum amount of furniture, decor, and facilities. I checked out after two nights and sought accommodation elsewhere so that I could be more comfortable.

What you see is what you get. This is operated by a group of nuns. The rooms are clean, and have all the amenities you would expect in a standard hotel room. There is nothing fancy here, but then again you didn't go to Florence to sit in the hotel room. If you're looking for clean, safe accommodations, this will do the trick

Super conveniently located! About a 5 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the Duomo. The nuns who run it are very accommodating, and our luggage was easy to store even though we got there way before check-in. The bed wasn’t awful but it was a little harder than ideal and the room was pretty minimal but it is fantastic for a night or two!
