After getting past a few oddities (no human onsite and two flights of stairs to drag our large bags up), the room was quite nice, an we couldn’t ask for a better location, about 100 feet from Piazza del Duomo. Room was spacious with access to a terrace. Breakfast was a selection of croissants and packaged Melba toast, etc with jams, juice, a coffee maker. Wonderful bed, though I would have preferred a second pillow for me. Great grocery store about two blocks away with everything you might need food-wise plus probably a dozen restaurants within a three minute walk. C2 bus took us from the train station to about 10 feet from our door! While there’s no on site staff, I was able to ask questions by text and always got prompt responses. Enjoyed Florence and our stay at Le Stanze di Catarina very much!

The location is great, right in the center of everything. The room is cute and clean with a little patio. But this is operated like an Air B&b, so no lobby , no staff on duty and no real breakfast.

I’m so sorry this property is not luxury accommodations. Very disappointed in this apartment, the bed was broken down, the walls were dirty and chipped. The photos of this apartment are very misleading, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The only good thing I could say about it is the location is perfect other than that we give it two thumbs down !!!!!!

Hotel situated steps from the Duomo on a quiet side street. Couldn’t get a better location. Restaurants also just a few steps away with many options to choose from. Room was quiet and comfortable, grat shower bed could have been better but overall a great stay. Room was very clean and comfortable with a fully stocked refreshment station. WiFi. The location is outstanding. Things to know: There is a neighbor upstairs with a dog that barked continuously for about 2 hours both evenings. Also, if food smells are an issue for you, there was the very strong odor of curry/saffron foods being cooked. Did not bother us. That statement is just an FYI. You will need to be able to communicate with the host by phone or WhatsUp app to verify yourself so directions for entry can be shared. Had not planned on turning phone on but, was necessary to communicate with host. This is not a hotel so, no front desk.
