This was the most incredible find!!! Casa do Santo is located on a gorgeous and historic property. The building and room were totally gorgeous and the family that runs this hotel are lovely. We had dinner and breakfast onsite and the meals were delicious and oh so homey! We visited during the off season which was already stunning but we plan to be back some future late summer when the vineyards are full!

This was one of the most exceptional stays I’ve ever had (including five star hotels). Casa do Santo is a truly hidden gem and I’m lucky we got to experience it before it grows in popularity. Maria and the staff are so attentive, helpful and welcoming, and Barco (the property dog) is an added bonus! If you’re looking to stay in the Douro valley in a cute, quaint town and want something relaxing and stunning, I couldn’t recommend this place more.
