We booked the hotel as a stopover on our way to another place in Sicily. The hotel offers a great view over Casteldelmarre and a beautiful pool. When we checked out, the staff member waited outside our room an hour before the deadline for cleaning – but that didn't stop us from taking a dip in the morning ;-)

It was a very beautiful hotel and with a fantastic view. It was both clean and well maintained. BUT... 2 of the evenings, the hotel hostet large parties (for example a wedding). It would have been nice that you as a hotel guest were at least informe about this, because it meant that there was a lot of noise from both the music and the guests. in any case, it was not very relaxing to sit on your balcony and the music could also be clearly heard in the room.

Lovely hotel with a magnificent view

Lovely hotel overlooking the beautiful Gulf. Staff was extremely helpful and generous; cleaning staff did an excellent job everyday and were very kind ladies. conveniently located restaurant (Quetzels) as well as a food truck across the road from the hotel. A full breakfast buffet is available every morning until 10:00 am includes bacon and scrambled eggs (tasty), pastries, toast, jams, several fruit juices, and large Cappuccinos made to order by the hotel manager every morning. Very hospitable and lovely accommodations. The Belvedere is a good location to start your day trips: Segesta, mineral baths, Erice, Trapani, the salt pans, and Palermo.

Impossible to check in after 20 in the evening (even after alerting this issue in advance). Had to book another hotel first night because of late arrival. AC on rooms blocked on purpose by staff because they decided not necessary in october, but it was still 30C daytime and to hot nighttime.

Lackluster service for a property that brands itself a "resort". Bring your own car - you cannot walk into town from the property without risk. Staff could not be less interested in making your stay enjoyable - perhaps due to their limited English? The first night we were there, the receptionist recommended that we walk to the restaurant across the road (5 minute walk) for dinner. No room service - the restaurant is your only option. We showered, dressed, and walked over only to find it closed that day. We walked back hungry and passed the receptionist on the walkway while she was chatting on her phone. She started laughing when she saw us and stopped only long enough to say "of course it is closed tonight..." and she kept on walking. Get used to that kind of treatment if you stay here. Bring snacks. Great view of Castellamare del Golfo from our room. And that's really the only reason to stay here. Be prepared to fend for yourself.

Wedding venue + hotel

The hotel is really geared for weddings and other events. There is no food or drink available after breakfast to hotel guests. A car is essential to use the hotel. The pool is great but needs a poolside shower for cleanliness and I would not immerse your head in it without knowing about maintenance.
