The Cafe was closed during our stay which was a bummer. Had to walk in the cold weather for coffee because the coffee in the room was not good. The room could definitely use an upgrade but the king sized bed was amazing!

When choosing a hotel I specify two provisions: 1 Parking 2. On site meals. Trade Winds on the Bay failed number 2. Due to pouring rain I missed an evening meal but breakfast in a cafe was excellent. Come on Hotels.com at least be accurate

This is short walking distance (across the street or a few blocks away) from restaurants and coffee shops. Our room was large (two queens and a sleeper sofa in a separate sitting area) and was clearly recently upgraded. We enjoyed the small indoor salt water pool, hot tub, and sauna. The property was clean and our room overlooked the harbor. We will definitely stay again. The cafe was closed for a week so we could not try out the coffee bar but one block away is a great combo coffee shop and bookstore.

Chrck in after 8 pm was a little rocky.. the bedsheets were made for a king size bed and so wouldnt stay on task well.. and the comforter and mattress liner were llastic or something so I was sweatty a lot ... and the door frame abnd blackout curtains were illfitting and so they let in too much light.

The ocean was visible in the far distance looking over the parking lot, police station, and other buildings. This is a nice old building in need of updating all around. The heat was impossible to regulate, so we froze the first few hours and then it was too hot the rest of the time. Staff was super friendly and helpful but they quit at 7. Also, the only ice machine in the entire building is located in their little store, so if you don’t get there before 7pm, you are out of luck. The pool area is old but it was decent. The workout area spills out from the workout room into the hall outside of the pool which was odd. We had a good time but not sure this place is worth the money.

Trade Winds has undergone an impressive facelift. The room had been tastefully renovated, furnishings updated and upgraded, the room was clean and comfortable. The king bed was comfy with high quality bedding, the suite included a separate sitting space with pullout couch, table/chairs, coffee bar, fridge, microwave, and sliding glass door to a balcony overlooking the water. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Trade Winds is a great value and I would stay there again.

Chris at the front desk was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room we had was a good size. I didn't realize a one bedroom wouldn't have a bedroom with a door though. Unfortunately the mattress on the pull out couch was stained heavily and there was no replacement available. The pool was very dirty. Lots of clumps of floating grime, hair and a baby wipe. The floor in the bathroom is peeling back and it was mucky underneath. The ocean and vintage vibe is cute, but definitely room for improvement with cleanliness.

There was a big winter snow storm, i was staying at Tradewinds to be close to work. Staff was very accomodating, i was allowed to check in early - which was very important since i would be getting out of work after 10pm. This may happen again if this winter keeps being so snowy! I am curious if there is some sort of "frequent visitor" status or program for discounts? I am quite sure i will be back, and i recommend this hotel to family and friends. Hopefully next time i can actually spend time off from work in the pool!
