A French Dream

This is the most amazing place to stay. Absolutely charming and first class. The surrounding gardens are gorgeous, quiet and peaceful. The service was exceptional and the staff so friendly and helpful. We wished we could have stayed all summer.

The property itself is beautiful, the room lovely and the little gifts were really appreciated. However it was clear the usual staff weren’t present. The garden was in disarray, our room wasn’t cleaned on the second day until we asked, the coffee arrived without coffee in it and most importantly - the pool wasn’t heated. We picked the hotel for that reason and despite assurances it would be warm in a couple of hours, the gardeners laughed and said it would be a couple of days at least. This meant our daughter couldn’t use the pool. The gardeners also had the lawnmower running from 9am-12pm when we wanted to sit in the pool garden, which felt odd when that’s when guests are most likely to want to be outside? Was really looking forward to this stay but it was sadly disappointing
