Great stay, great staff at Hotel Mar Vista

We had a fantastic stay at Mar Vista.. Nicole and the front deak team made check in really easy and took great care of us all weekend with dining recommendations and fun places to go see with our dog. This property is Very dog freindly and made our big guy feel bery welcome Our room was very clean and kept that way thanks to Olga. The room was bright with an entire wall of windows, we were in the King/Pet accesible room with bathtub. I highly reccomend a stay at Hotel Mar Vista, we will absolutely be back.

My favorite Ocean Shores Motel

Nice 3rd floor king room facing ocean. Wonderful. Everything was extremely clean. The pool and the jacuzzi were great. This is our go to spot from now on. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Give front desk a break

Current front desk staff need more support and training. But you are at the ocean ans shouldn't be spending much time in your rooms. Get out and adventure.

The staff while friendly had no idea about the area in general. They charged me twice for a deposit accidentals and did not return the deposit. The room was nice facing the ocean. However, if you are noise sensitive you might want to request a room without a door connecting the room next door. Also if you want to sleep with the window open, there is a little water overflow area, just outside the windows facing the water, where frogs like to nest and croak all night. Apart from that it was clean, the facilities worked well. Not much to complain about here. Only stayed one night.

OK stay

Over all for the cost , it was good ! We were on the 3rd floor , with ocean view . One of the four double pane windows had a broken seal , it was frosted on the inside of the two panes , and moss growing there . Toilet didn’t flush well , like it didn’t have enough water . Swimming pool was out of order . Beds were comfortable . Easy check in and out . We didn’t spend too much time in the room, over all I think I would stay there again , just because it was cheap and clean !

Frogs

Third floor ocean view well worth the extra $20. Hot tub/Jacuzzi was working well. No breakfast, but I go to McDonalds down the street. I went during off season when weather was good but no crowds. Jared and the staff were very friendly. I had a good time. The chorus frogs singing in the sand dunes just behind were were wonderful. I will stay there again.

Good hotel for the price!!

The hotel was nice for the price. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a dog area behind the hotel with dog bags. The room was a great size. Overall we would definitely stay there again if we return to the area. Only bummer was the pool and hot tub were out of commission. Close to two different beach access areas.

Went down hill

The anti slip strips were coming up in bathroom. We really didn't have a view. The people at the front deak wouldn't hard say anything too me however they would talk to my husband. I have never had that problem before

Disappointed

We stayed at this hotel for a convention we attended. We had several friends also staying at the hotel. We all got charged diffrent amounts for a damage deposit. Anywhere from $50- $123 for identical rooms. One of my friends were charged prior to check in. They advertise a continental breakfast but we were told they were not serving it because there was too many people in the hotel to feed. Our bed was completely worn out and dipped severely in the middle. The house keeper didn't close our door after she cleaned our room. We will not be staying here again

TV broken.

Check in was slow, despite only one person ahead of us. We could not get the tv to work. We went to the front desk and the response was "we'll check". After 45 minutes we decided we were on our own. We messed with the tv and discovered it was on the wrong input. Problem solved...except every 30 minutes or so the TV would revert back to the wrong input. Very annoying.
