Very nice building with good facilities. Decided to upgrade to mezzanine suite described as soundproofed rooms however the corner room assigned was affected by traffic noise from two sides. Cleaned cobwebs off windowsill. Upgrade fee was thankfully refunded. Helpful desk staff. Dinner was pricey and oversalted.

A Stylish Stay in a Historic Setting This charming boutique hotel, thoughtfully converted from a former hospital, beautifully balances crisp modern design with a sense of heritage. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with a generous layout and a very comfortable bed—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. While we did encounter some inconsistencies with the hot water during our stay, a strong espresso at breakfast quickly revived us. Speaking of breakfast, the morning buffet was fresh, plentiful, and a lovely way to start the day. The hotel’s central location makes it ideal for exploring the town on foot, with many sights just a short stroll away. That said, the walk into town involves a number of steps, so it may pose a challenge for senior travelers or those with limited mobility. However, for guests with transport, the location is truly ideal. Overall, a delightful and stylish stay in a unique and memorable setting.

This place is awesome. The building and history are amazing. Really close to the old town area, 5 min walk. We did not get a chance to use the spa or baths but they looked amazing. We did sit out by the pool for a few hours and it was great. The room was extremely large and the bathroom was huge, not sure if they all have 2 different showers like ours but wow, tons of room to spread out and relax. I would love to have spent a few days in this hotel and want to check out the others in their portfolio as well. Highly recommended!

Excellent but…

Very good to stay there. The Check in was bad because they did not find my booking for a while and when they found it there was no excuses at all for the inconvenience. The tea welcome set in the room is nice but when a couple wants the same flavour of tea, it is not available and if you want more tea bags you are charged for it! The breakfast is excellent and the staff is very helping and smiling. The pool is excellent.

Since it is a Pousada one would expect the hotel to be of a superior quality, which it is - service is great and breakfast was a good choice and all topped up when needed. Well situated for the town centre. We did however have a couple of issues. The bed was huge, which is a plus, but the mattress was quite hard and my husband did not have a good sleep. The second problem was that the pool area is small, on the day we came there were not enough sunbeds so people had to sit on the grass. There was plenty of room for more beds but they weren't there. Also, the pool is situated on the north side of the building and is in full shade for most of the day. We only stayed for one night so only used the pool for a quick cooling dip but if we had been there for a longer visit this would have been a real negative for us.

O hotel é otimo e ja fiquei outras vezes. A recepção sempre ignorando o acesso VIP dos associados GOLD, para um early check in. Mas deferiu depois de argumentar. Isto tem me incomodado, o fato de sempre ter que argumentar, na hora da reserva isto deveria estar previamente autorizado. O Hotel estava muito vazio. Room Service rapido e eficiente. Comida do restaurante ótima e saborosa.

Simpatia na receção O edifício é muito bonito e os quartos são amplos, confortáveis e luminosos. Não usámos o SPA, nem a piscina exterior, sendo esta num espaço agradável. O pequeno almoço tem diversidade mas faltou coordenação porque demorava ou não havia reposição. Não havia ovos, quando vieram faltavam os pratos, depois não havia sumo ou frutas. Saímos ao fim do dia e no regresso, no acesso pedonal pela escadaria junto do portão não há qualquer luz.

Virkelig dejligt hotel med god service og skøn atmosfære. Det eneste vi kunne sætte en finger på, var airconditionen på værelset. Den var ikke super og larmede voldsomt meget. Restauranten serverede god mad mad, men indretningen var kedelig og alt for lys. Lignede mere et konferencerum.
