The 24/7 front counter is a great feature, the pool is nice, the suite upstairs had all we needed in the kitchen, and hot water with good pressure in the shower. After a very long day in shuttles from Puerto Viejo, Gilberto was a very gracious, friendly and welcoming host. He quickly got us into our room and albeit "Happy Hour" was over, he set us up with a couple beverages and let us get settled. Our room had all the amenities we needed with a nice balcony and view of the tropical gardens. The breakfast was good with several options, and the pool and lounging area were the perfect addition after a day at Bahia Ballena and other excursions. The staff, Jess at the front desk, the cooking and cleaning crew were all wonderful and very friendly. There is a grocery store/deli, Steve's, right at the corner which was great to have, and a restaurant La Fogata directly across from it, with many more dining options just a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed our time in Uvita and happily recommend staying here.
