Restaurant was closed since Covid. Toilets were “low pressure” and didn’t flush. Elevator stopped working while we were there. Mattress was very tired. Sadly,would not recommend.

The Inn was surprisingly delightful. We'll decorated, very clean, good customer service, comfortable bed, and easy parking. Small pool looked inviting but had a busy schedule. Small fridge with microwave, with space utilized well in the room. I will definitely stay again if in Barrie area.

Comfortable stay at Monte Carlo Inn in Barrie. Parking was getting full quick but I found a good spot. I enjoyed the big screen TV in my room and the bed was very comfortable. At breakfast however, the staff told me I can’t bring food upstairs to my room, but I was told previously (when I checked in) that I can, the front desk staff she said I can bring the china plates and cutlery upstairs and leave it in my room at check-out, instead of having to bring it back to the restaurant. This was very disappointing for me, as I wanted to bring the breakfast to eat later in the morning because I had to go to sleep. So I had to stay in the dining room and stuff myself with food when I wasn’t that hungry. I think it’s a terrible way to treat your customers that way. Actually the breakfast staff said she’ll double check with the manager and the manager was strict and said I can’t bring the food upstairs but had to eat it in the dining room. Other hotels allow for us to bring the breakfast food upstairs. I will be booking another hotel like the one beside (or a few doors down) Monte Carlo Inn next time! I stayed at Days Inn before and they let me bring breakfast upstairs to my room! So I recommend Days Inn over Monte Carlo (unless they change the policy or have a nicer manager look after the breakfast room).

The hotel is a little dead but the staff were very nice and friendly. I enjoyed the room but location was perfect for what I needed. I would definitely stay again. If you're looking for luxury, this isn't it. This is a nice down-to-earth Hotel. Bed was pretty decent. Room was quite large.

Monte Carlo is a good hotel for a short stay. Breakfast was ok, but a little limited. It is reasonably quiet, but that can vary with level of noise that emanate from diverse patrons.

The room smelled of stale cigarettes. The hot tub was beautiful but not that clean. They charge 25.00 for the use of an old pack and play which is absurd. Charging families for a bed for their baby is such a money grab and gross.

The fridge was noisy at night. The breakfast is terrible. Do not get breakfast here unless you want to ruin your stay. They need to stop offering it. The staff in the restairant have no idea what they are doing. Everyone in the breakfast area was looking for napkins, or a plate, or a fork, or anything. I cannot put into words how awful that experience was. Everyone at the front desk who had breakfast told the front desk they need to get rid of it to which they replied its not their call to make that decision.
