Bay view nice but if you choose „basket service“ it means NO service. TV had lots of channels but were of no relationship to handout in room. Cold floors (no rugs). Right next to hospital (possibly a good thing). Read about incredible breakfast….well increase if you are looking for packaged cheese sticks, boiled eggs (for real), cereal cups, etc. Nothing warm…frankly yuck… Way overpriced for what you get. If you are upstairs no elevator and stairway is steep and literally 2 foot or less wide…scary

The staff was great and very welcoming throughout our stay. However, when entering the building where our room was located, there was a noticeable mildew smell near the ice machine that could use attention. The room itself was good overall, with just a few minor issues. The bathroom hand shower had a broken mount, and the vanity looked worn and could benefit from a fresh coat of paint. It would also be helpful to have more than one small hook in the bathroom for hanging towels or clothing. On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. Overall, despite a few maintenance items that could be improved, I would stay here again if I were visiting Hyannis.

We absolutely loved our stay! Going off-season is key. Sandi, the front manager, was fabulous and we had many engaging conversations. The room was amazing, the room where the breakfast was served was extremely welcoming, the location was wonderful and I honestly cannot say enough great things about our visit!

In a world of cookie cutter hotels, the Anchor In is a refreshing old school style motel. The staff is wonderful- friendly and helpful. Although the motel is no longer a family run operation, they know the history of the place and take pride in carrying on the operations so lovingly curated over decades by the family who used to own it. The motel is both right on the harbor with perfect views and close to town for easy walking. Some reviews mention that rooms are outdated. I prefer to look at it as a vintage style; nothing was in disrepair, we had everything we needed, and it was impeccably clean. The bed was really comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great. WiFi was strong. Our room was huge, and had a private balcony, which had it not been winter we would have enjoyed. My only complaint is the site fees. I can forgive a resort charge of some sort because there are some amenities available, but $45 is really steep, especially in winter when the outdoor pool is closed. Breakfast is included but it is very basic. My real issue, though, was the parking fee. It’s outrageous to charge parking at a motel which is by definition designed for motorists with parking directly outside the rooms. As we were checking out, I found out the Anchor In is now owned by Margaritaville, which explains it, but it left a sour taste to an otherwise lovely experience.

I believe Sandi at the desk gave me the best greeting and welcome I have ever received from a hotel. She wasn't 'corporate' but very personable. She didn't just tell us about the breakfast, the pool, etc...she took us in a small tour to show us. The room where we had breakfast was very homey with a roaring fire in the fireplace.
