Lovely modern apartment, set in a wonderful ancient buulding, located in the city centre. A free breakfast is provided in the restaurant next door, which is fronted by a friendly, helpful young lady who speaks perfect English. Excellent location, central in a quiet part of pedestrian Vaci street. Lovely coffee pod machine in the room, good wifi and aircon. Clean and new looking. Hosts very helpful.

The location is excellent. The room (we have a 1-bedroom loft) is spacious and very clean. There is a washing machine in our unit and detergent was provided. We enjoyed our stay at La Fortezza Panzió. However, it may be a challenge for people who have mobility issues as there are a number of stairways.

The building is old and shows it, but the room is quite efficient and outside noise minimal. Noisy neighbors were on the same floor, though. Some past reviews are critical of the breakfast, but we found it to be fine—one ought not expect the Ritz at a budget-friendly lodging! The young lady working at breakfast is delightful, competent, and speaks English well. We would stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay that is value for money, clean, spacious and safe. For some reason Expedia or the property didn’t provide us with any check in details which made it difficult for us to get in given our late arrival. Parking garages are relatively close. All the celebrations of National Day were enjoyed close by. Would definitely stay here again. Walk to the Danube, eat outside the entrance, have a great time and enjoy Budapest!

Perfect blend of history and modern clean room. In the middle of the walkable tourist street. Just skip the breakfast. It's left over pizza ingredients from the underneath pizza restaurant. Also prepare to walk up 40 steps with your luggage. Otherwise it's excellent.

A nice and beautifully renovated accommodation, in a perfect location, but definitely not a hotel!! Don’t expect hotel services here. The breakfast was super simple and not even fresh plus dozens of flies. No elevator at the building. Perhaps not a perfect place to stay if you’re travelling with seniors/kids. Giving a 4 star mainly because of the helpful and kind staff.

A++ in Budapest

Such a treat to find this gem of an apartment in one of the central hubs for dining and shopping in Budapest. Leave a quiet courtyard and step out to a wide pedestrian boulevard that you can conveniently take to major sites and transportation. The apartments are so clean, beautifully renovated, and designed with efficiency and function in mind. Staff was patient while we were getting our bearings and very accomodating to our few requests; made our short stay feel more personal and culturally connected.

This is not a hotel and does not offer hotel services. Front desk is available for an hour or so in the morning. Breakfast is cold continental plus coffee. No eggs, which I really needed.. no elevator to take baggage to the upper floors. Apartment not really comfortable but fits a fee people and is in a good locstio.

It turned out to be a loft in a condo unit with all amenities including kitchen and washing machine. The breakfast wasn't good. Probably wouldn't take that option. Minor issue with choppy WiFi. It would be nice to have a safe or deadbolt on the door. Overall extremely happy with the stay. We were comfortable the entire stay with all facilities. The interiors and fixtures are all new and premium. Everything is few minutes walk away - from restaurants, bars, shopping, Transit and tourist attractions. Definitely recommend for stay.

If you have physical restrictions or limitations, this property might not be for you. The loft is only accessed by steep stairs and there’s also no loft. It was perfect for us though. We loved the location of this property. It was located on one of the main popular streets which leads to the Market Hall. It is also near transportation pick up locations/subway. Several good restaurants are also near the property including the best ice cream shop right across the entrance door. The breakfast was a plus which mainly included coffee, juice and meat plate. I would highly recommend this property. The owner was also kind enough to let us check in really early. Thank you for the hospitality.
