A wonderful stay. Situated in a quiet quarter but close to travel links - this made for a perfect base for our 4 days in Kyoto. I absolutely loved our stay here. It was a quite, beautiful and dreamy neighborhood. I loved how big our room was compared to most hotels in the area. The rooms has everything that you need and more! This is a bare bones “hotel” that is really more like a hostel. The proprietor was very nice but only there very limited hours. The room was clean and had everything we needed-no maid/cleaning services but there are extra towels/sheets in hallway. Downstairs in the small lobby doesn’t look very nice-dirty and cluttered-but the area is close to bus and subway service and rooms are clean and comfortable.
