This place was absolutely horrible from the minute. We were trying to check in, which was an hour away cause nobody came and gave us anything to bugs in the room, which were horrible and disgusting to the Wi-Fi not working when I work remotely, which was a big issue refrigerator was not working so we had to throw out food. The property manager was contacted and nothing was ever done and when I spoke to her, she didn’t like what I have to say so she started to insult me by saying that I was a blackmailing her because I said I was gonna write a review. I also have pictures that I would love to post of the nasty little critters that were rolling around the whole kitchen counter. this experience was horrible absolutely horrible.

There is no front office or staff. All communication was through What's App and was not very responsive. The room had paint peeling off the walls and getting on the couches. The room was listed to have a sofa bed, but it was just two couches that pushed together. There were no sheets, pillows or blankets for the sofa bed. The staff at the restaurant could not speak any English and still got orders wrong when pointing directly at the items on their own menu. The hotel itself is decent and the rooms were relatively modern and nice. If there was better management/communication it would have made for a much better experience.

When you are looking for a luxurious and remote, safe and beautiful resort and you bring some Caribbean Patience - then this place is for you. The whole gated community (Hard Rock Hotel is also part of it) is beautiful and well maintained. The apartments are just like on the pictures. Very high Caribbean Standards. The resort’s pool is very big, the Restaurant does have great food. The place is a little remote. But the polite, very attentive and energetic drivers Felipe and Maurillo will take you to the Airport, Supermarket, Playa Macao and the Beach Club. You‘ll have access to the exclusive Beach Club of the Community for little money during the week (you can spend this on food and drinks at the Beach Club). I have never seen such a luxurious Beach Club for that little money. There is one thing you have to be aware of. This place does not have a classic front office. All communciation works by WhatsApp, which works - but you have to bring some patience. The host is VERY welcoming and super nice (we even got a free room upgrade after a small problem) - but not super responsive, probably because of a lot of work. That means you want to organize important things like the airport shuttle at least two days ahead. In the Caribbean, things take time. I really recommend the Airport Shuttle at least for the arrival. This way you‘ll make sure to access the community. All in all, we had an amazing time at the resort once we figured out the communication. Beautiful place.

If you choose to do an excursion, have them clarify the exact pick up location. You will most likely have to walk to the Hard Rock hotel to get picked up. The property and the staff were very pleasant and responsive. Would recommend them to anyone.

Hard Rock and Golf access - Very Private

This is a lovely property and Elsa was a lovely host. I also engaged Franklin for some transport and he was very friendly, timely and an excellent driver. I was there for a multi-night concert at the Hard Rock and the location was perfect. Easy access to the venue and a quiet escape for my stay.

Puntacana apartment rental

The appears clean. However the power went out more than once in the two days. In addition not much communication between the cleaner and the manager, cleaner took the room key and had to call the manager who didn’t answer the phone but rather texts via WhatsApp hours later and we were left with no key eventually late in the evening we were able to get in. Beautiful apartment but I don’t understand how there’s no back up generator or power that part sucked, other than that it was nice

Pros: The Liason person at the front office Eliana Perez what’s definitely the biggest pro of my entire stay and probably of the complex as well She was very patient always available helpful in a multiple situations in terms of the unit is itself as well as getting around. A real joy to work with. Cons: complex complexes in the middle of a construction zone; the unit itself had many insects plus a safety deposit box did not work throughout to stay. Most of all was in the middle of nowhere within overall complex not close to anything. Overall hard rock complex was also in the middle of nowhere far away from the popular beaches from Punta, Cana, etc., etc. etc. I was so disappointed I left two days early

Beautiful property, gorgeous pool, had everything that we needed! We loved having the pizza place right in the backyard- it was delicious and they have gelato as well which was very convenient! Walking distance to the Hard Rock if you want to eat there or gamble. There is a small grocery store inside the gated complex to pick up any supplies needed and free transportation off site to pick up anything they don’t have. The development is still under construction across the street but it was perfect for us and not bothersome, We barely left for days.
