This motel is just typical of its kind. Older, 1960's property in a small rural town. Not much as far as amenities go, not even the usual in-room coffee maker. No staff other than the one in reception. The room was clean, everything worked as it should and the bedding was comfortable, it looked fairly new. Good value if the rate were 65 per nite, not at close to 100!

Shower controls were stiff and constantly had to adjust the water to get the correct temperature. WiFi signal was too low to effectively work without dropping the signal. Only 2 of 4 lightbulbs in the bathroom were working. Ask the front desk to get a hair dryer. Only 1 trash can in the bathroom, need another by the fridge.

Very nice manager put us in a great room for our family. Garberville is such a great location to hit Shelter Cove and the Avenue of the Giants, and staying at Lone Pine really made the stay even nicer!

Although we did not have any issues you can tell that the room could use some fixing up/upgrades. Even tho they might consider them minor details of replacements/upgrade; it also shows how much one takes pride in their property.

Owner/manager is very friendly; he recommended Benbow Inn for dinner, which was very pleasant. Room was a good size. Easy on/off Hwy 101. OK for a one night stay while traveling. Check for shampoo in your room.
