Not sure why google says 2 star. This hotel was better than the Mariott Marquis which was rated at 4 stars. This hotel was clean, comfy bed and it had hot water. I couldnt believe the Mariott Marquin at Union Square didnt have hot water.

While my husband was being treated at UCSF I Stayed at many hotels. Symphony Inn was by far the best. Excellent beds!!! Room darkening shades, frig, coffee, microwave helped. Exceptional staff. Great location for coffee shops and a quick uber trip to the hospital. The only place I will stay for follow-up visits.

I was able to check-in early with no advance notice. The room was clean and comfortable. While the hotel/motel is very basic it’s located in a great neighborhood and you can’t beat free parking in that area! I was very pleased and felt the accomodations were better than expected for the price paid. I’ll be back soon for sure.
