Wonderful hotel! Child friendly but stylish and still quiet for adults. We love the courtyard and it was so inviting to enjoy a coffee or afternoon drink there. We had our 4 year old and he was able to run around while we relaxed. Breakfast was very tasty and staff very kind and attentive. There’s also a restaurant on property . We got to meet the lovely owners who shared the history of the property and gave us great tips. Highly recommend!

We chose this hotel as it was close to the station. The room was lovely, staff were welcoming. Had a great couple of nights sleep on a very comfortable bed. Everything spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent, I loved the special Austrian bread pudding. It’s a little walk into the old town from this hotel- about 15 mins but through the Mirabell Gardens so very pleasant.

Design Hotel zum Hirschen Salzburg truly deserves 5 stars. Upon check-in, we were warmly greeted by Lina, who was both pleasant and professional. She ensured the entire process was quick and seamless. As an added surprise, we also met the hotel dog, Lotte — I only wish I could see her every day. Our room was spacious and overlooked a charming little garden, while the bathroom was spotless and well maintained. The hotel also features an impressive yoga room alongside a well-equipped gym and separate saunas for men and women. It was such a wonderful treat and the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is located slightly away from the busier parts of town, but its location is incredibly convenient. With a quick tram ride, you can reach most major attractions within 10–15 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn’t mind staying slightly outside the more touristy areas of town.

We had a fabulous stay here and would absolutely return. The room was a great size, spotlessly clean, had lots of nice little thoughtful touches and the sauna was a great addition. The hotel on the whole is really lovely, the spa area is excellent, gym is good and everything felt so serene. The location is also really good, just a few minutes walk to the bus station which takes you direct to the airport and also a 15 minute or so walk in to the old town. It is a really special place and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend

All the staff were superb. The hotel is immaculate and well maintained. It's a great location being only a short walk from the train station and into the old town. Breakfast was amazing, really good, high quality ingredients cooked to perfection. The best scrambled eggs I've had in a hotel. They will cook any egg dish to order too.
