We had an amazing experience at Hotel Della Fortezza! The unique atmosphere and historic setting made our stay truly special. What really stood out to us was the hotel’s strong commitment to sustainability — from eco-friendly practices to their focus on local, organic products. We especially loved the delicious locally produced food, which gave us a real taste of the region. It’s clear that the hotel values quality and the environment in everything they do. This is a fortress as the name of the hotel implies. The rooms are in the Fortress Orsini. There is a parking lot that's about a 3-5 minute walk to the hotel (depending on how close to the hotel you park) but beware of maps on the iPhone. It indicated that I had to walk a lot farther, but when I called the hotel, they explained that I only had to walk a few minutes. The room was decent but since I sent in November, it was cool. The room had a radiator but I was informed that it was turned on only a couple times a day. So the room was not comfortable. Sleeping wasn't a problem because if it's a little cool, one can still stay warm. However, after a very long walk down to the city and back, I cam back to the hotel and it was very cold. And even when the heat was turned on, there was only a trickle of heat coming from the radiator. Be aware of this if you are traveling there during cold weather.
