The inn is located perfectly for access to everything in Kennebunkport while maintaining enough space to be peaceful when its time for bed. We stayed in room 8 in July, and the room was small (as clearly stated in the listing) but big enough for us to move around and in fact we found it pretty comfortable. Carmen was very pleasant from start to finish, and even called in the chef early for breakfast when she found out a few groups were departing early. This was greatly appreciated by not only us but the other guests. Not sure if or when we'll be back in Maine, but this will be the first place I look to make a reservation if we are.

The innkeeper, Carmen, was superb, making my experience at Inn at English Meadows feel safe and comfortable as a solo traveler. The property is gorgeous with sweet amenities like coffee pods and tea available 24/7, plus a delectable variety of cookies set out every afternoon. The location is ideal being just steps away from Dock Square. A variety of restaurants are all within walking distance. I stayed in the charming Sunrise room at the front of the inn, which had lovely windows and was great for watching activities on the road. But the room does get hot on sunny afternoons. Thankfully, the inn is aware of this and stored a small fan in the closet, which helped to cool the room enough to be bearable until sunset. I adored the heated bathroom floors on cool mornings! Breakfast was a delicious and varied two-course affair every morning, accommodating dietary preferences (in my case, no meat). It was served quickly and efficiently by Carmen and her friendly and competent staff, as soon as they see guests seated.

Tradition meet Modern

A little treasure after a long drive! Quaint but modern bed and breakfast with lots of thought going into a guest's stay. Our room was TINY (it was a basic room) but very comfortable and beautifully styled. It's a very old building so lots of creaks etc but once you get used to it no issues. There's a wine/ honesty bar area, free snacks, delicious cookies and a couple of lounge areas. The backyard fire pit was a favorite with a bottle of wine. Breakfast was delicious - made to order although there wasn't a choice. The best thing is the location. We arrived on a summer Saturday and Kennebunkport was heaving. The Inn is a 10 minute leisurely walk to Kennebunkport but away from all the noise and bustle. Chez Rosa a few doors down was excellent for dinner too. Would recommend!
