Really enjoyable weekend in a spacious, comfortable room looking onto the pleasant garden/pool area. Great continental breakfast spread and an amazingly equipped enormous kitchen available for guests who wished to cook or attend to laundry. Only minutes from an Intermarche supermarket and an easy walk into the original village area of Alvor, which is teeming with restaurants and bars. Also easy access to the beach and interesting cliff walks. Ticked all my boxes!

The property is located in a great place, close to restaurants and the beach. Check-in was a little frustrating as the keys were not in the box as per the instructions but management rectified the situation within 15-20 minutes from arrival. Cooking area has a real bad smell of moth balls that permeate the rooms and clothing when in there too long.

We loved the breakfast, which was different than any place we have ever stayed. Basically you pick whatever you would like; pastries, toast, eggs, meats, cheeses, juices, coffee, and make your own. The kitchen is excellent and always available. This was so convenient! The pool and pool area are very nice, and although we didn't use it, this would be great for kids. The entire facility is kept really clean. Although it is not located either on the beach or directly in town it is really convenient to either, and there is a large grocery store about 150 yards away. We walked every single day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Alvor, I think, is one of the best towns to stay at in this part of the Algarve. The town center, unlike many other places we visited, seems like something that preceded tourism, in that it is located right on the river and has character, but with tons of shopping, bars and restaurants, but it is small enough to get to know. Really a lovely town.
