Very nice property loved the large tent and beds

8/10 Good

The forest location is wonderful. I would have appreciated having a stable table inside the tent to eat at, and a small wooden deck outside the tent would have been a nice addition. The bathroom setup was excellent and much appreciated.

Not as expected. Tent smaller. Basic. Provided lantern didn’t work. Great beds! Fantastic location. Good bathroom facilities.

Big tent, comfortable bed but that’s it. The pictures are a bit deceptive in that there is no furniture other than the beds and two chairs. The website should list items that you may want to bring, I.e. flashlights.

It was very nice and clean. We got there in the dark so it would have been nice to know rhe lantern was on the tent pole by the entrance as we didn’t find it til morning but would definetly stay here again. It would he nice if there was an area where you could prepare your own meals.

So it’s not at all like the pictures, and not like the other wander campsite I stayed at in Grand Canyon just 3-4 weeks ago which was true to pictures and this was not at all. This place had no rugs, no table or chairs or throw pillows. It was literally just beds with blankets, the beds were comfortable but you would do best if you consider this straight up camping and beds as a bonus, if you consider it to be that cute glamping experience, it’s not. The one in Grand Canyon was more glamping and cute but this was more closer to straight up camping but yes there are beds and clean public bathrooms outside.

2/10 Terrible

We are regular campers so staying in a tent is not new to us. We were only planning to spend one night so we brought minimal camping stuff. Inside the fence, there were two cots and that was it. The photo showed several chairs and a table and a rug none of which were there. The floor was wet and the blanket on the cots within and not sufficient for warm when the nighttime temperature was expected in the mid 40s. When we arrived, there was no one there. There were no other cars and no people that we could see. We ended up not staying there as we did not want all of our stuff to get wet by having to put it on the floor. Very disappointing!

When making a reservation you will not know the property’s location until the day before. That can be stressful when planning a trip far from home when you know you will have limited cell service. In the email it states to type in Starlight Olympic into your maps. It took us to a property far away. It then states to look for red reflectors which we proceeded to do and ended up driving all over some random peoples property looking for these tents. Thank goodness nobody came out because it was late at night. 30 minutes later we found the correct property. Very difficult to find in the evening. We had tent site 1 which we couldn’t even find a spot to pull our car near. Upon entering the tent we were immediate overwhelmed with the smell of mold. We stepped back out and slept in our car. It was miserable. When we expressed our concern and asked for a refund we were not issued one.

This is such a cool spot, so peaceful and quiet! The tents and beds are well managed! They don't yet have a highway sign, but as long as you thoroughly read the navigating directions, you shouldn't have a problem finding it. Loved this place

This was a poor experience, at first it was hard to find which I had received instructions but the campsite was pretty much all uphill and could not find the site we were assigned to but finally found it. Would recommend that they carve more spaces for parking cause it was absolutely abysmal. Woke up super early and just got the hell out of there. The tents and beds were nice though!

Stay at the camp

We had booked the camp for two nights. After the first night, unfortunately there was no water in the restrooms in the morning. So we had to check out of the camp after 1 night. We were unable to find a reasonable accommodation at the last month and had to cut short our weekend trip. Except the water problem this morning (that was very important for us), the experience at the camp was good.

This place is a complete fraud. No camping at all, everything was pre-paid but when we arrived, this place was not existing. According to a person working at a motel nearby, the so-called owner dosen t own the camp at all or is fully illegal. Please seek the frauder at 435-890-4774 (Andrew) for refund.

It was terrible experience. No fire pit, no exterior furniture, no water, all dirty and primitive. No possibility to charge phone. If I can to give minus, I would give to. Avoid this place!!!!

2/10 Terrible

We didn’t stay here. We showed up, took one look at our tent and promptly called to get a refund. This is NOT glamping. There was nothing glam about it and it did not look like photos on website. Tents were moldy, carpets covered in mud, no light provided, basic camp beds, and zipper on tent did not close all the way allowing bugs to get in. There was no where to take off shoes before you entered tent so going straight from standing in mud to inside tent. It looked a homeless encampment.

Good overall but different than expected

Important to know: we didnt see any sites with fire pits, AND there was a "burn ban" in the park, so do not plan on cooking over a campfire. I think the advertising on the availability of campfires was misleading. There is only one bathroom site for the whole campground, so some sites are far away. They are okay for campground bathrooms but we found them to be pretty dirty and did not have paper towels. There are also no picnic tables, but there are TV trays in the tents. The tents themselves are cute and comfortable. Overall it was a good experience for the price, but there should be clearer expectations about what to expect, since it is so unlike most other campgrounds or other tent sites I have stayed at.
Sarah, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

While WanderCamp could potentially be a fun experience for those in Olympic, I would not call it glamping. Our canvas tent had nice cots, but there was not drinking water available at Wandercamp. Additionally, the toilet/shower trailer was very far from our site. When using the shower, you had to hold down the lever with one hand while you wash your body with the other under lukewarm/cold water. Many Amazon, Wayfair, and Walmart boxes were thrown throughout the sites- it looked like the camp was still creating sites as we drove in. As someone who camps with their own equipment, I have had more comfortable experiences doing basic camping with nicer amenities at state parks.

Not ready for guests

We stayed at Wander Camp last year in a different Port Angeles location and that experience is our point of reference. In general, this location is more roughing it than glamping. There is no water spigot, no trash cans outside of the bathrooms, no picnic tables, tiny sites with even tinier fire pits, uneven beds with the plastic on the mattress then covered with the sheets, and cold showers (tried three different times and had lukewarm water for 15-30 seconds). For 24 hours, we had no lights at the bathrooms, no water, no toilets, no showers - and no concession from the operators. This place has potential but they seem more focused on the quantity of sites rather than the quality of the experience. We won’t be back next year and won’t recommend to others.
Joan, 3-night trip

2/10 Terrible

I drove around for an hour and a half trying to find the location. Finally was able to find it based on GPS coordinates and entering them into my cell phone. Once I arrived at the property, there was no signage to tell me I was in the right place and there was no lighting. There was an abandoned truck a few spaces up that made me feel very sketched out. I drove around the property five times. It’s quite a large property. I was unable to find any parking or any person to help me. Find my camp spot. There was no camping at the area where my campsite should have been there was no tent. When I contacted the people, they told me that there was a tent 00 but I could find nothing there and there was no one there to help me. So I left and drove three hours home in the dark.
Kelly, 4-night trip

6/10 Okay

The property doesn’t look anything like the photos on the website! I was told they’re using photos from another property. This one is in a forest and there’s a dirt track road that goes around a loop with canvas tents nestled between trees. You might be a pretty far walk from the portable bathroom, which was decent although there are only 4 stalls (but the site was not even close to full so we never had to wait). Showers weren’t working one night because the tank was backed up. They were clean though and the lady who cleans (Michelle) was very helpful while we were there. We booked 3 twin beds-when we showed up we had 1 queen size bed. It worked out OK because our friend didn’t end up coming, but if he had, that would’ve been a huge problem! The tent is very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. They provided camping chairs and a tray table and solar lights but those did not work so definitely bring a flashlight or use the light on your phone at night. They had firewood to purchase ($10) but we were told we could forage for wood to start a fire which seemed odd to me. Each site has its own or shared fire pit. Our bed was made while we were out the 1st day by Michelle which was nice. She was awesome. She ended up getting us into a tent with 3 beds for the 2nd night mainly because I was bothered by the alcohol-induced cursing that was coming from the campsite that backed up to our site. There was also a lot of street noise from the highway. Not as peaceful as I’d hoped.
