I don’t recommend this place. The room was rather untidy and unkept. The floors were in need of vacuuming and a good deep cleaning. There was a lack of basic amenities like Kleenex. There was no staff on property to welcome you, in fact the first glimpse of a staff member was in the morning when a gentleman barged into our room without knocking while we were getting dressed (my husband had no clothes on) to deliver wine to the next set of guests and didn’t realize there was anyone staying in the room. The grounds were unkept. Our view from our ground floor room was stacks of chairs and tables piles floor to ceiling. The yard was in need of a major overhaul and gave the appearance of the Munsters Mansion. We thought we’d give this place a chance but there are so many other options in this quaint little town. Stay away from The Orth House!

My husband and I spent the weekend at the Orth house. We had tickets to a night at the Brit and wanted to stay within walking distance. We loved this hideaway with its old world charm, lovely wine and even a ghost story. We were also able to walk all over town and didn’t need to drive for 2 days. Highly recommend!

This was a WONDERFUL place to stay. We were in town for the Australian Pink Floyd show at the Britt. We loved the Orth House so much, it is a beautiful house, it and the staff was so wonderful and accommodating. Felicity was very helpfull with the entire visit, she emailed us instructions on our entry, and getting settled in. She was AMAZING and a total help for us. She was so attentive to our needs and she deserves a truck load of accolades. Thank you so much. Jesse, Moorea and Cali (The Dog). :)

Its almost hard to explain. We were the only ones in the house at night. It was nice, but not a bed and breakfast experience. Very convenient to walking to food and the Britt Festival.
