This is the second time we have been there and love the property. It’s quiet and has a real family feel to how it’s run. All staff are friendly and accommodating. We really appreciated Alex and Jami.

8/10 Very good

Pool is nice, close to Pickleball courts, short walk to downtown. Rooms are dated, no fridge in room, tv picture was fuzzy and no English channels (eg BBC news, CNN, etc) since most of clientele is English speaking
John, 6-night trip

6/10 Good

Short stay

We were only there for two nights, so were in short stay rooms. No water pressure in shower or sink and hot water was hard to come by. Toilet had problem when we got there but was resolved quickly. The breakfast on offer for a few was inexpensive and pretty good. Staff are friendly.

Sinue, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

We chose this hotel because it came highly rated for families and we were traveling with our eleven year old and 16 month old baby. The pools were fun for the kids but our daughter cut her hand on a broken tile, and our baby enjoyed picking chunks of peeling paint off the pool edge… overall the rooms and facilities are in need of a remodel. Be warned, the restaurant food is not good, and it’s a long walk to town, especially if you have kids. While we were there another visitor in the neighborhood got mugged in the alleyway behind the hotel we regularly used to walk into town, which was alarming. It wasn’t the right place for us, but staff were friendly and it was very quiet.
Jacqueline, 5-night trip

6/10 Good

I stayed here in January 23 and again this stay. It’s not horrible and the staff are mostly great. In January, I had a scorpion fall on my bed from the ceiling - no compensation after I told them. This time, 2 large cockroaches stayed at the bathroom door for a few hours. I didn’t report it based on what happened during my last stay. Reception host, Graciela, was very good - excellent attitude and perfect English. So, it was a mixed experience.
Cindy Ottalie, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

I spent a couple weeks at Cabo Blanco and really enjoyed the experience. Pros - The staff was friendly and accommodating and all common areas were very clean and maintained. If you play pickle ball the courts are really nice but there is a daily charge to use them. Really appreciated Alex’s service in the restaurant and pool area. The bathrooms have been updated and are clean. The location was in a neighborhood that was quiet and safe. Beach and restaurants were only a 10 or 15 minute walk away. Cons- only thing missing was a refrigerator in the room. But I just bought a styrofoam cooler and bought ice to keep stuff cooler. Over all a great experience and I would definitely stay there again.

Fernanda, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Gracias
Emac, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

We stayed in the condo's by the canal because we wanted kitchens and they are by the long pool that parallels the canal, where the fishing boats and water taxis can come right in front of the rooms. The condos are adequate but outdated, have minimal kitchen equipment (varies from room to room). There is no microwave just an outdated stovetop. The kitchen sink in ours was pretty knarly, faucet was rusted out with very poor water pressure. There is also so hairdryers in the rooms and toiletries don't include lotion or shower caps. The regular rooms are much nicer and have been updated. There was one big complaint, of the restaurant. The last night we ordered Nacho's, and they came burned so we sent them back. We had ordered sour cream and guacamole on the side of Nachos, but did not want either when we sent Nachos back. The waitress brought the guacamole anyway and when we told her we didn't want it without the Nachos she said that SHE would be charged for them, so of course we took it and paid for it. We thought that policy was very unfair to the waitress. There was no apology from the kitchen or management regarding the burnt Nachos, but they didn't charge for them only the side of guacamole.
