I have stayed here many times and have never had a problem. Staff are always super friendly and very welcoming. You get a real welcoming ‘local pub’ feel when you go in. The bar area is really cosy and the food is fantastic-large portions and a good choice on the menu. Sunday roast is great too!! Rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. An excellent place to stay so I would highly recommend.

Our stay at the malt shovel was good ,we only spent one night there , food was lovely, the pub was lovely and quiet with friendly staff thst make you feel very welcome , our room was a nice size with tea,coffee ,water, biscuits provided , the bed was comfortable , room was clean with towels left on the bed ,will definitely book again .
