Sandy Bay

This great little family run bar and rooms reminded me of surfing on the Gascony coast. The bar was relaxed, served plant based food that was very tasty, which I washed down with a pint of Gower IPA. The room was clean and functional, with a stunning sea view.

Lovely welcome, and escorted to room. Beautiful views! Super location very close to beach, and also town centre. On street parking available, but this is low season.

The room was good and the bed comfy. The bathroom smelled of drains and the shower was either hot or cold. The entrance and stairway was very poor and dirty. The traffic noise was very noticeable. Nice views across the dual carriageway to the wide sandy beach and sea as far as the eye can see.

The place is still very much being developed and there are no signs anywhere to tell you where it actually is. If you ring the owner they will come and get you and they were super helpful. The room was lovely with a lot of thought gone into it and, although it’s right by the main road I did get a good night’s sleep. The views of the beach were great.

Everything was fantastic. Conveniently distanced a small walk away from the central bus station, city centre and marina with great view of the beach all the way to Mumbles, even with the wet weather for April. Paul was a great host who made us feel instantly welcome. Cafe/restaurant area is fully licensed and sells locally brewed beers which is always nice. Freshly prepared, reasonably priced food too! We’re already looking at return dates in the summer

The host was very attentive and lovely. When we got there , he showed us around and was very welcoming. We had an issue with the toilet flushing and he came straight away to fix it for us! The place was lovely, I stayed there with two friends and there was plenty of space and was lovely and warm. Right by the seaside too which was very nice, alongside a big window facing the sea. There were shops nearby and everything else was only about a 10 minute walk. Would definitely visit again!

Cleanliness and staff super good, but felt super unsafe as a woman to arrive by myself. Streets around the property were very empty, everything super dark. Besides, got the beach view and I could hear all cars driving by on the road. To top it, some guests arrived at 3am and they woke me up because you can hear absolutely anything through those walls.

Host was lovely, we arrived at 2:30pm and we're offered to play a board game in the cafe as our room wasn't ready, which we did. On entering room 7 it looked lovely. We were told how the fan, tv etc worked and then showed the bathroom it looked ok. The shower was all wet so looked like it had just been cleaned. We put our stuff down and went straight out to look at the area and to find somewhere to eat. Ninnes World buffet is great lots of choice. When we arrived back to our room i was ready for a shower. Only to find that it has not been cleaned and probably just been rinsed round with the shower head. It was disgusting so much grime on the glass and inside. Me and my daughter couldn't bring ourselves to enter it. Which was a shame because the room itself wasn't to bad. The bed was clean and very comfortable and the view of the sea was amazing. There was lots of choice on the tv, loads of films to chose from which was nice. Overall we probably wouldn't stay again due to cleaning issues which is a shame because the host is paying for cleaners and there not doing there job properly.

It was difficult when I arrived there was no one t I greet me when i got there and needed to ring a number the owner did come shortly after and was very nice. The room i had was pleasant enough i think the property is being renovated as a runner i found running along the sea front very nice.My room also was overlooking the sea front from my window.

Very disappointed. The overall the environment was very unclean; the corridor, bathroom etc. We were also shocked by the fact that our bathroom did not have a door and had just a white cloth. The sink tap also lacked hot water and shower is totally unusable and dirty. Overall very unhappy with the stay and would not recommend. The overall description we were given when back okimg was not met at all when we arrived. Very
