6/10 Good

The bedroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable but the dining room was very uninviting and the breakfast was barely edible. However, that said, the reception staff were very helpful and courteous and overall it was good value for money.

My ‘home from home’ … the staff couldn’t be nicer, always have been. As a regular visitor and 4th generation Birr family member, I love how kind and welcoming the townspeople are to me. Doolys are part of my heritage and the best homecoming experience is to be had there. Marguerite

6/10 Good

The man on the front desk was super helpful and helped us with our bags as there was no lift. Our room was spacious but the decor was very tired. The bathroom door could not close. On the plus side, both the bedroom and bathroom were huge, and the bed was large and comfy. I had scrambled eggs for breakfast but they were very dry (maybe powdered eggs?) but my husband’s vegetarian breakfast was good.

Dooleys hotel staff were brilliant. The breakfast and dinner was also brilliant the hotel is been done up and you need to know that. The hotel car park is another bonus beside the Garda station and bank. The staff really are brilliant and are so helpful. The food is exceptional and nicely priced. The decor is a bit dated however the new owners have started renovating and it will be better. Yes we will stay again . Well done Dooleys .
