I was surprised to see that this is a converted motel and rooms were walk ups. I must not have noticed this when looking for a place to stay in Beaufort. One thing I do not do is stay in a walk up due to safely. Despite this, the hotel was nicely renovated and the staff was very nice. They gave us coupons to their coffee/ cocktail spot and left homemade cookies on our door at night which was a nice touch. They also give access to Cat Island Club which is also a nice benefit. A little noisy next to the road but situated in a great location.
