To start with the reception: the staff seemed disorganized and untrained. During check-in, they couldn’t find my reservation and responded in a way that felt accusatory — as if I was trying to commit fraud. That kind of treatment is completely unacceptable and far from the standard I’ve come to expect here.
On a positive note, the hotel itself remains clean and well-maintained, with a pleasant atmosphere. However, one downside is the designated smoking area — including staff members — which is located right at the main entrance. It leaves a poor first impression as you arrive.
Parking is excellent, with options both in the underground garage and in a small lot outside. That said, the rate of €25 per night is quite steep. As an alternative, I’ve often parked under the Severinsbrücke without any problems.
Unfortunately, I also had a troubling experience during my stay. Despite having a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, housekeeping attempted to enter my room at 6:30 AM, and again at 8:00. While I was downstairs enjoying what was — to be fair — a very good breakfast, I realized I had left my wallet on the nightstand. I had just withdrawn €200 the night before, and when I returned, I noticed €50 was missing. Yes, I understand the importance of not leaving valuables out, but this is still unacceptable. When I reported it to the front desk, the response was a simple apology — no further investigation or offer to follow up.
