Cheap by the sea. Just that. The whole area except for the swimming pool and the restaurant there has not seen a upgrade for - 30 years? Worn down concrete everywhere, especially the buildings by the sea. No breakfast place was found where promised and the other one by the grocery store was closed the whole time we were there. The one by the pool was open, only until 19.00. The promised washing machine was not there. We found a washing room where the breakfast should have been and it was closed but with many washing machines inside. The staff told us it was for staff use. We doubt that! We were there in the middle of September so low season but this can not be recommended. Room was clean and most things workes but the overall condition of the place must give only "one star" Must have been a great place once.

This was a nice place 15 years ago maybe. Everyday we had to call the reception to get them to fix different things in the room. No working AC, no hot water, it was leaking water from the roof down on you when you sat on the toilet. Terrible experience. They show you restaurants on the map when You arrived that has been closed for many years. The ad says 4 restaurants and in real world it is one by the pool. That restaurant is very good but it is also the only restaurant. The kids club was also very nice with super nice personnel. But if you want a nice stay in Pula, do not pick this place. Our flight back home was scheduled at 9pm and check out was at 10 am. I begged them to compensate us with a room to 6 pm due to al the problems we had that week but there was no way the could do this. When i asked to speak to the manager over the phone I could not even get the managers number. I understand why, they would probably be drowning in complaints from the guests. We were not alone to have these kind of problems with our stay. Chose a other place to stay if you want a good stay in Pula!

Beautiful views and nice area. Great balcony overlooking the ocean. Functional and clean apartment but a bit dated. Kitchen could be better equipped but had the most essential. Would have liked new towels and sheets more often (received only new towels once during 9 might stay). Otherwise good value for money in a beautiful place.

Tipycal example of a has been hotel. It seems like it was a great hotel 20 years ago. they didn't cut the grass, spiderwebs every where, the walls were cracking and the paint was peeling. ROOM - The bed was unconfortable, Spring matress, we only had hot water in the shower in the first 2 days. At the last day when was raining, it flud the room. But the view was stuning.

Service is bad, the sea and view are the highlight

Upon arriving at check in, they attempted to scam me into paying for a cancellation fee twice, lied to me repeatedly and just dont treat the guests well. They kept my driving license as leverage, as they wouldn't check me into my room that i had fully paid for, due to a previous booking that had been cancelled, claiming dispite me inputting my payment details in order to book with hotels.com, and cancellation being thru them, the hotel lied and told me as the had reinstated the cancelled booking, i must pay them on site before they will give me the room i fully paid for. Lies, bs, no customer services, they lied to hotels.com and didnt listen to a word i said when explaining the situation. Hotels.com were also unhelpful, ignored me and my questions and made the situation worse not better. The stay other than that was great, cheap, beautiful location, amenties on site (expensive but convenient), and only 10minutes drive or 30minutes walk to town or shops. I dont understand how the pool is saltier than the sea, and also so full of chemicals, i avoided it entirely and stuck with the cleaner, gorgeous, clear sea, full of wildlife, i recommend snorkeling. Dispite only guests using the pool, the sun loungers and umbrelles require payment for use, and the attitude is you pay for everything possible, probably even breathing too much. Great destination, but would not comeback to this resort.

This is a terrible property ... completely false advertising. NOT family friendly. For a family of 7, with 3 toddlers and 2 infants ... they made me reserve 2 suites as they claimed that we could not fit in one suite. While checking in, they said, ooops we made a mistake, yes you guys can all stain in one suite. When I asked about the refund for the second suite, they refused to even discuss it. This was paid in full 7 months in advance. Due to horrible conditions, rat infestation of the suites/premises ... we left after 2 days. Should not advertise for them on expedia.com!!?

This was not our first stay at Splendid Resort, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. We have previously stayed at this property and therefore booked it again based on our earlier positive experiences. Unfortunately, the standard during this stay had deteriorated significantly and did not meet the quality we had paid for or reasonably expected. During our stay we experienced numerous issues, including: • A broken toilet seat, which was cracked in several places. • A defective hairdryer that could not be used. • The inside handle of the entrance door was missing, making the door inconvenient to operate. • We booked accommodation for five guests, but the terrace contained only three outdoor chairs, meaning not everyone could sit outside together. • We requested replacement bed linen. When it finally arrived, staff knocked on our door at 8:45 a.m. despite us being on holiday with our family, including a teenager. Furthermore, we had to change all the bed linen ourselves. • The delivered linen was also incorrect. We received seven sheets and one duvet cover for a double duvet, although the apartment only contained single duvets, leaving us without usable duvet covers. • We specifically booked and paid for an apartment with garden view. Instead, our apartment overlooked the rear of surrounding buildings, with several air conditioning units creating constant noise throughout the day and nights

Good location, some poor amenities

The hotel is more of a holiday camp with lots of apartments. The location is lovely and the pool is ok for this level of hotel. However, the shower facilities were poor with mimimal hot water which ran out quickly and no shampoo or shower gel provided, which is absolutely standard in any hotel.
