Reception staff very accommodating. Breakfast very poor and staff not the best. Not much choice. Best thing was the fresh juice. Croissants and pastries stale. Rooms very large but also very dated. Upon arrival , no greeting. We had to bring our own bags to reception. Only 5 parking spaces. Certainly not 5*. Good location, nice beach and spa.

Brilliant hotel. Rooms were authentic, but with all modern needs. We stayed in a normal room and it was huge. The breakfast was good quality but the buffet area seemed a bit claustrophobic. Having the hotel on the beach is a great perk. With beach bar having great food and the staff are very attentive.

Nice landscaping, quiet villas among lush greenery, lots of food and massage options nearby. We booked a suite with private pool, garden view, and had the feeling of complete privacy. Breakfast and service very nice.Only downsides were unreluable Wifi and moody AC. Room was spacious enough but wardrobe, shower, bathtub and toilet are all within the same space, no doors between them, and poorly isolated from rest of the room.

My husband and I stayed at Royal Muang Villas for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. From the spacious room and comfortable bed, to the accommodating and friendly staff, great pool and beach area and a lot of food options, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The resort was even better than in looked in the photos in our opinion. Highly recommend

Really nice hotel. Great and attentive staff. Large rooms with plenty of space. We had a pool room but only used the private pool once since we thought the larger pool area and the beach was much more us. Really, really fairly priced food and beverage. There are a 7-eleven, pharmacy, bars and restaurants in the street outside the hotel.

Outstanding hotel with very warm and welcoming staff. Beautiful setting on the beach with great bar and pool. Food in the beach restaurant is quite standard, there are better options in the area, but the setting is perfect. Installations excellent and well maintained. The only thing we found was our clothes/towels did not dry in the room so maybe the AC needed some work (it was also too loud but didn’t stop us sleeping). Well recommended vs more expensive options in Koh Samui.

Lovely Beach Hotel

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, its is an older resort but is very well maintained, more traditional Thai. Comfortable bed, Staff fantastic, good selection at breakfast the fresh juice was great. We had our own pool which was nice to cool off in after being at the beach all day, just needs some kind of rail to make it easier to get in and out of. The beach area is very clean with lovely soft sand but easy for walking. Close to other restaurants and bars. After check out we were able to spend more time at the beach they provide toilet and showers where we could shower and change before moving on to our next hotel. We would stay here again. Value for money.

We had a great stay here in Feb/March 2024. The hotel is beautiful, the room was huge with amazing authentic traditional thai decor. We felt instantly relaxed when we walked into our room. The mini bar was stocked up with loads of drinks and snacks, welcome fruit and great staff who made us felt welcome and set us up in the room. The room was very clean and it smelled great from the incense they burn in a small corner. We also made use of their on site spa and it was a great experience too, the set up is very calming and serene and the private massage rooms with shower and tub were amazing. We're coming back to this hotel again in Oct 2024 because we loved it so much. PS:Had a pool suite and the set up of the room allows you to climb straight into the shower from the pool which is just genius

We had a really good time at the hotel. Room was great, we had a pool room which was ideal with the kids. Pool big enough to actually swim rather than just have a dip. The hotel pool was excellent and very convenient to go straight into the beach . The hotel is classed as 5 star but this is Thai 5 star. This is not the 4 Seasons. The beach was good and the sea great nice and shallow for the kids. The hotel is getting a little tired in places and the beach could’ve been cleaner. On some days.

Big rooms but we had few issues at first, read..

The Good first , very friendly staff, Big pool with waterfall, onsite massage, and bar, big spacious rooms. The ugly they had no water in our wing or several rooms for almost 2 days mainy during the day due to onsite pipe or maintenance issues ,the guest should of had a choice to get a full refund and check out or free stay especially without running water or shower usage. But after letting it go for a full day we had to ask for a credit the second day which we only got one day credit after a hassle , but the manager seemed to be in a rock and a hard place so to speak and was Professional to deal with. Also the rooms and resort is a little dated, maybe things will improve as the revenue come back or if things get done , you decide just trying to give our experience at that time.
