It took three people to help check us in….. which seems overboard. We came back one night around Midnight and the front door was locked…? No answer on the phone. Luckily back door was open, would’ve been nice to tell your guests as I had to call the Sunlac in Devils Lake. Rooms are decent enough.. nothing fancy. Bartender was rude at the restaurant/bar that was attached.

Very pleasant place to spend the night, with restaurant and bar right there. I’d say it’s a bit dated, beds definitely need an upgrade but all in all with the friendly environment and as hot meal being served till around 9 pm I’d for sure stay again

Comfy and clean, older property but did the job. Had a little restaurants which sounded great but closed at 2PM so I never go to try it. Food was served at the bar though! They also l had a Dairy Queen on one side and a Dollar Tree on the other, which was great! I would stay again. 👍

I had a nice stay. The building in general seemed a bit dilapidated. Kind of smelly. Room was nice, though. Clean beds, decent shower. Good bar and diner.

Better than my car…

The bathroom had no ventilation. The beds were advertised as queens but were more like full. It was hard but I’ve slept on harder. It was only for one night so it was better than sleeping in the car.

The hotel is old but clean. The only complaints I would ave is ask for a north side room so you don’t hear all the traffic on the highway right next to the hotel. And they should redo there air conditioning so the exhaust from the vehicles outside doesn’t come in the room

Small Town Charming Hotel

Went to the Turkey BBQ in Aneta (40 minutes away), checking in was weird. Had.to check in at the bar in the back. But it was also about 10pm when we arrived. Nothing bad, just a new experience for us. We were entertained by it. The bar tender was extremely friendly, and one of the customers I think offered to help us. Small town charm! The room was clean, the beds were soft and comfortable. I was very surprised honestly. This place has changed since i was a kid! I would definitely stay here again if needed! Our dog Rio was welcomed.

We made our reservation thru expedia and when we checked in and went to our room, someone was in it! We went back to the front desk and told the guy working. He went and checked to rooms and they were not clean. He went to check on a 3rd room and then said it was ok. We opened the door and it was obvious that it was not cleaned. He just pulled the bed spreads back up. The sheets were not changed, we garbages were not emptied and the bathroom was not clean. We left and did not go back. Money lost. We were not staying there! Shame on them.

Satisfactory in Small Town America

Everything was fine until the morning of check out. Checkout is 11 am and “housekeeping” tried to come bursting into the room without knocking as I was standing there half undressed. I hollered at them saying we were still in the room and not more than 10 minutes later someone tried doing it again. Small town but really? I’ve been a housekeeper at a motel before and you always knocked and assumed someone was in there! The small cafe was good and had pretty darned good food and the bar area was nice as well. Many locals hang out at the bar but that’s what made it fun/interesting.

Worst Hotel Ever!

The carpets are filthy. Looks like they’ve never met a shampoo. The people next door were up all night laughing, talking really loud and possibly having WWE fights. Crashing and booming. In and out of the room all night letting the door slam each time. The room phone was ringing at 8:30 am for no apparent reason. I cannot imagine how this place got such a high rating. The front desk attendant was pleasant
