Absolutely gorgeous property with excellent staff. We were some of the first guests to experience this hotel so there were some hiccups but the staff remediated issues as best they could. Its in a great location, food and drinks are very good, and I can see this being a 5 star hotel in the future. We will be back.

We stay at four and five star hotels and this did not seem like a five star hotel. The level of service of a five star is just not there. I will relate good and bad points: when I got to the hotel after a long drive and ordered a Mai Tai the bar tender lady clearly did not know how to make drinks. You should not have people at the bar that don't know bartending. The next morning at 7:30 I went downstairs to order a cappuccino but was told that the "espresso machine has not warmed up yet" so I had to go somewhere else. It was very difficult to figure out how to turn the warm water on in the shower, there should have been signs. Apparently there is a tiny button you have to press and then turn the faucet to the "cold" direction instead of the "hot" direction (???). Also, the photos of this hotel look much nicer than the actual hotel. The pool is very small. No VIP benefits at all. On the positive side I liked the drawer type safe in the room, the glass water bottles, the pretty flowers in the lobby, the car service and cushy rug in the room.

The hotel was chic and upscale. There wasn’t much lobby space to relax. And the pool had no open chairs most of the time. The restaurant didn’t offer snacks or apps between meals. Location was good. Overall I think this hotel should be priced much lower than it was.

This property is definitely not worth the 1,000 night rate. Service was awful. It was apparent they are under staffed and not ready to be open. I now am in a dispute with charges doubling what our balance was when we checked out and nobody will return calls or put me in touch with the accounting department to take care of over charging me. I would NOT stay in this hotel unless you want to be disappointed.

Wonderful experience at the Palm House! The hotel is beautiful. The service was fantastic - everyone from the valet to the front desk to the bartenders/servers were very friendly and attentive our entire stay. Our room was large and beautiful with great amenities. The use of the complimentary house car was so convenient!
