Good get away place in the nature
sao, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Very nice stay. Pretty quiet probably 5% of people compared to south rim. Great food. Awesome views.
Bradly, 5-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Cabin was clean, staff were so friendly and the views incredible! We stayed with our young children and so couldn’t walk too much of the trails but there were so many beautiful views from around the lodge that it didn’t matter. Highly recommend this place. Thank you for great stay.
Daniel, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Rooms were charming. Food in the main dining room was quite good.
Matthew, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Love the older/historic charm. All within easy walking distance. Mule ride was fun!
Gregory, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

It was lovely. Beautiful views. Unfortunately, the week after we got home, it burned down to the ground. Such a tragedy for historical buildings. I'm so lucky we saw it before the fire.
Sharon, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

It was nice while it lasted, we only got to stay one night and the Park Service evacuated from Grand Canyon. The whole place burnt down the following day!

We did not get to complete our stay at the Grand Canyon due to a fire
Damion, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

In the evening of the last day of my stay, 7/16/25, all guests were evacuated due to imminent fire danger. A couple of days later the lodge, and numerous cabins on the premises, burned and were destroyed. This was a grievous loss, the lodge and the surrounding wilderness were a glorious place to visit and stay.

Cabin walls paper thin so if you have noisy neighbors you will suffer. You literally hear everything.
Jennifer, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

The rooms are disappointing and the older woman who checked us in was rude to the other registration employees. The younger staff, especially in the deli, are fantastic and will make you feel welcome. The room had no AC, was a ten minute walk to the rest of the amenities, the wall-mounted hair dryer didn't work, no outlets near the bed, and you have to keep your windows open- as with everyone else- so there's no real privacy. Everything that was there was clean, just underwhelming for the price.
ReyLynn, 1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

View is amazing and it stops there. Dining options are horrid and expensive. Cabins are old with no air conditioning or hot water that works well. Beds remind me of my nanny’s pull out couch only instead of a bar its springs digging into your back. Each pillow is different and by different I mean completely different. Oh and you only get one. It’s dark, staff not friendly. They have a saloon but if you want to use the bathroom they have porter johns. Oh if you need ice strap in it’s a mile walk or shuttle to a general store for it. Location and trail are amazing so if you feel like spending 200 a night to camp this would work for you.

The setting of the restaurant and the views at the Lodge are unbelievably awesome. The food at the Lodge restaurant is terrible.

The motel was located within easy walking distance to the North Rim. The staff was amazingly kind and helpful. We enjoyed the sunset the coffee barista was so nice. We had an excellent and quick evening meal at the deli in the Pines

10/10 Excellent

Very rustic, built in the 1920s. Nice cabin experience by the north rim. Nice picture of Teddy Roosevelt in the saloon. I enjoyed the experience very much.
Brian, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Loved the natural way it was kept up. Very clean and organized. A great place to go back in time and enjoy an old cabin and the beautiful nature of the Grand Canyon. Can see the sunrise and the sunset. Just amazing.
Terrence, 1-night trip

4/10 Poor

They don't tell you that even when you make your reservation you still pay to get into the park. $35.00 just to get to your reservation. They don't tell you to eat in the dining room to make reservations before you get there while you have internet, because you can only eat in dining room with reservation, but the park has no internet to make reservations. The room would have been nice but they don't dust under the bed and I felt like I was sharing my room with the last year of guests. The light fixtures above the bed were so dusty that when you tried to turn them on you got dirt on your pillow case. When I tried to make coffee the first morning all the parts for the coffee pot were not there and I had to get dressed to go get coffee is when I found out I had no hot water to shower. I went to the front desk to check out for my 2nd night there and they were rude and told me did you call maintenance? I told them no because I didn't come on vacation to call maintenance, I could have done that at home. Then when I ask for a receipt they wouldn't give me one refused to give me one and told me they would email me one. I still haven't got my receipt or email. Not a pleasant experience at all.
rachel, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

It's all about location. We enjoyed the views of the North Rim from the lodge. We enjoyed a nice dinner at the restaurant. The room was adequate. Noisy bathroom fan. Room temperature control did not work.
Lazaro, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

We love getting to stay in the park, but our room was stifling. With the window open and fan on full speed, it was still too warm to sleep.
