Great breakfast, Amazing restaurant service for dinner. Beautiful, relaxing beach area…the Wi-Fi is in and out. The bed was uncomfortable. And most of the standard rooms are in separate building. Overall was a great stay. Don’t forget to feed and pet the cat💕

Luxury a walk away from Hvar town

The Podstine Hotel is a beautiful, quiet and luxurious place for a getaway just a walk away from the heart of Hvar town. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. We enjoyed live music on the terrace at night and cooled off in the swimming pool after a long day of travel. We only wish we had more time at the hotel to enjoy the lush landscaping and awesome swim area on the Adriatic. We were told the walk to town along the water was about 20 minutes but it’s more like half an hour at a leisurely pace. There is ample parking if you arrive by car.

We loved our stay at Hotel Podstine. The staff was lovely and the grounds were beautiful. A small boutique hotel with a cute pool and suntanning pad. Plenty of chairs and beanbags with entry into the beautiful Adriatic. We loved all the cozy niches to relax in and the cocktails were great! We travelled through Croatia and this hotel was one of the most charming. We hope to return one day.

Old hotel, great location with a nice coastal walk into the old town. Rooms are very dated, and the curtains weren’t big enough to cover the windows so it’s not possible to block out all the light

If you’re looking to relax and take it slow, this is the place for you! My husband and I stayed here between exploring cities to get some r&r. It was lovely to have a private beach to guests only and drinks are offered wherever you are. It’s a 20 minute walk to bustling Hvar downtown and a grocery store close by. Ubers are less easy to get to come to you as it’s so close to the harbour, however, a taxi can be called from the front desk in advance. We stayed in the annex part of the resort and the room was clean and big enough for two. Thank you for a nice stay.

This hotel could use upgrades and staff training!

The hotel needs updating and staff needs training in hotel management and hospitality. I don’t recommend staying in the Annex building which is like the “maids’ quarters”. The only good thing about the room was the AC and view. Some of my clothes were stolen from my suitcase by the cleaning staff. The room was small and the bathroom was awful (see pics). The main building is much better, is nicely decorated and has beautiful areas for lounging overlooking the ocean. There is also a small gym. The hotel is a 25 min walk to the old city of Hvar.

The amenities at this hotel were amazing - beautiful scenery and views, ability to swim right out of the hotel, nice complimentary breakfast in the morning, etc. Some things to consider depending on the vibe you’re going for - quite a walk to town and taxis each way are not cheap. If you’re looking for somewhere relaxing, you found your place. The ACs could have been stronger in the rooms as very hot in the summer time. The restaurant food for lunch and dinner were not very good and limited options close by if not wanting to go into town. There are no umbrellas on the deck so if you aren’t there to put your towel out early, you miss out on shade. Rooms could use a refresh! Overall great property, very happy with our stay and would stay again!

Having traveled extensively and staying at many hotels, I could truly tell you this was one gem of our hotel. Located approximately a mile from the Hvar town the hotel is situated directly on the Adriatic Sea. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very hospitable. The octopus was heavenly, and the preparation of the meal was also heavenly. They have a nice little pool and beach bar. For those who are brave enough to enter the Adriatic sea, there is easy access from the hotel. All in all we found the hotel to be ranked a nine out of 10. All things considered I would strongly recommend this hotel as the price is extremely reasonable and the food atmosphere and staff very accommodating.

Facility was beautiful, right on the water. They made it so relaxing to enjoy the scenery overlooking the Adriatic with a cocktail in hand. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Best was the location. It was a twenty minute walk to Hvar Town through other beautiful homes and properties. Glad we found this hidden gem.

Having access to the seaside without the ‘hustle and bustle’, was the best feature for me. Plenty of sun loungers available, serviced by F&B staff. Located away from the centre of town, but walkable distance. Staff were very helpful. Book massages before you arrive to ensure availability. Breakfasts were delicious.
