Despite offering an amazing view on the lagoon, the deluxe villa we stayed in (304) was rather disappointing. It looks more as an apartment in a small building of four units than a villa. We could also hear our neighbours as there were communicating rooms simply separated by a door.

Shark Bay Villas exceeded our expectations!

We had previously stayed a few times at the hotel, which was fantastic, but the villas are now our new favourite. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the house was well-equipped with everything we needed. The views of the natural fynbos and the bay were absolutely unmatched, making for a truly breathtaking and peaceful stay. Highly recommend!

We booked what we thought was a high ceilinged private villa with a hot tub - but instead were told that it was a lower ground floor villa with an extra daily rate to pay for the hot tub - even though we’d paid a premium to specifically get this benefit. So we changed our booking to a room in the hotel with a stunning view across the lagoon - which is what we wanted in the first place. The hotel then kindly included breakfast in our hotel room rate, as this did not have a self catering facility.

The villa looked nothing like the pics on chosen room type. The hot tub charge per night could either be wavered for first night as check in is only at 4pm, you don’t have time to heat up tub, so you paying for something you don’t get to use. Upstairs villa was noisy the whole stay complained to reception - I’m still waiting for feedback. Second day villa upstairs left hose on in tube so all the water came flooding down onto us while in hot tub, to top it off they didn’t answer door so this went on for ever. 3rd day we had no water so no shower etc-this one not hotels fault but just rounded off the unpleasant experience
