Unscrupulous
We booked for the night while travelling. Unfortunately due to an error when we arrived they said the reservation was for next week and that there were no rooms.
They completely refused to refund our reservation and said they needed to await their manager on the Monday. Note that we arrived within hours of booking the room and the booking was for the following week so they can hardly say we were blocking the room.
On advoce from the hotel staff I contacted Hotels.com via the online chat service and the agent reassured me that the team would deal with my cancellation and speak to the staff about a refund.
The following week the hotel called to ask when I was arriving. They had not recorded our cancellation at all.
I am very disappointed with both the and with hotels.com for their terrible service and unfair practices.
