The room was amazing, it was the property. It is undergoing a change in ownership from Holiday Inn to Wingate. Finding the property was not easy due to poor signage. Checkin we in the back amongst the construction . Tile was partially down and wet, checking in was behind a plastic wall, construction workers were trying to do their job while we were trying to get into the elevator. It has potential but I would wait until complete.

Clean room. Construction. The lobby a disaster and the computers were down. This hotel chain put their staff and their customers in a terrible situation. Dust everywhere, do not cross tape around the entrance. No place to sit while waiting forever to check in. The computers were down. The poor staff was trying their best in an impossible situation.

My stay was fine except for the fact that I could not close the shade that would’ve darkened the room. My window faced a parking lot and the light coming in made it look like daytime. If it hadn’t been so late, and I hadn’t been so exhausted, I would’ve called the front desk for help. Instead, I found it difficult to sleep because of the light. Other than that, the room and service were fine

The location of the hotel is excellent. Within easy reach of NCSU campus/Raleigh downtown/Cary and the freeway. Newly renovated and clean rooms as well as friendly staff. The hotel was still undergoing renovations of the breakfast area during my stay and the selection at breakfast was somewhat limited.

The hotel was going through a massive renovation which was not advertised as such online. The make shift reception area was very small and made on to the back of the building making checking in feel cramped, unwelcoming, and extended the time to check in. Since you couldn't use the main front entrance parking was slim in the back and we had park in front and walk with our bags around to the back of the building.the rooms were very nice once we got in, but overall the stay was not up to our usual standard and we will likely use another hotel when we stay in the area again.
