Everything was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and cheerful. Breakfast was excellent. It would have been perfect if it weren’t for the rain XD

Hotel ok, location ok
The location is basically in an office block carpark.
I imagine this hotel is mainly used by businessmen or workmen. Not really a holiday location spot

Very comfortable room. BUT Heating inadequate. Only 3 hangers (clothing) in a FAMILY room ? No towel hangers in bathroom. Small screen TV compared with other, similar hotels.
Restaurant - sub-standard and evening meal food almost un- edible. Very limited Bar/drinks choice. Corridors/ stairs very cold. Staff generally helpful but appeared unhappy with their work.

I have stayed here before but always had a room overlooking the car park. This time I was on the other side and unfortunately the constant road noise did not make for a good nights sleep. The telly was also not working in the room but by the time I noticed I was already ready for bed so left it until the morning to let staff know.

I saw a bug in my bed, it is an expensive hotel and must pay attention to their room cleaning and hygiene.

Inexpensive
Only stayed at this Travelodge to save money. First time I stayed, staff were miserable, but the second time the front desk staff were really nice. Both times I was given the disabled access room (when I have absolutely no disability, so what happens if a disabled guest checks in - I get moved??), and didn’t mind too much as I had loads of room. The shower drain in the bathroom was clogged with hair and scum, and with it being in the centre of the room, the water didn’t drain away so most of the floor was soaking wet, even overnight after a shower. The staff smoked below my 1st floor window so I had to keep it shut while they were out there or the whole room stank. There was no soap in the handwash cannister in the bathroom. The floor hadn’t been hoovered and was crummy. The carpet, especially in the public areas, was also not hoovered and either hadn’t been fitted properly or had stretched and moved into lumpy waves, so pulling or pushing a suitcase with wheels across it was difficult. But, the bed was comfy!
When I complained to the front desk about very noisy, shouting and screaming guests across the hallway from me, they did seem to sort it out pretty quickly.
The constant noise from the A329M and surrounding roads would possibly keep some people from sleeping, as there’s no aircon so you have to keep the window open for fresh air. They did provide a fan.
I didn’t go to the restaurant for breakfast, so can’t comment on that. Would I stay again? Nope!

A number of issues and not the best stay
Tried to check in at around 1:30PM but didn't realise Travelodge have a policy of charging for early check-in. This was the start of the frustrations. A tip- Instead of paying £10 for early check-in why not pop to the cinema round the corner and watch a film.
Upon returning to check-in I was told breakfast was an extra charge- which is contradictory to the Expedia page- Expedia are investigating this and were very helpful in resolving this issue however. The hotel was less helpful and it was pretty much pay if you want it.
The first room I was allocated I could smell someone had previously smoked in it and there was ash on the windowsill which was disappointing- the room was quickly changed but still could have been identified before the room was given.
The second room was extremely clean and tidy aside from some chewing gum which has been stuck in one of the storage recesses on the bed unit. In the bathroom one of the lightbulbs needed replacing. The desk lamp didn't work either which required another trip to reception to notify- this was fixed however during after I had returned from an evening out.
The main issue was I had a terrible nights sleep. Rooms don't have air-conditioning so on a warm night it was essential to have the window open- however there is a road behind the hotel so if your room is on this side it led to a sleepless night with cars and lorries going past in addition to the heat.
Winnersh Triangle is just over the road for easy train access.

Close to motorways
Our room was a bit sterile. But that's what you get with this type of hotel.
Basic. warm. comfortable bed. good shower.
