Great Hiroshima stay

Only had 2 nights, but the hotel was great. Very professional. They have kiosk check in to free up the service people if you needed it so never too long, the free wine and some nibblies between 6 and. 8 pm did go down rather well, and the view from the 25th floor - where the guest lounge is, is amazing.

Hiroshima’s downtown is extremely busy and parking is a premium. Taxis are a better option. This hotel is an excellent option at an affordable cost. I highly recommend it. Go to breakfast as soon as they open to get a choice table near the window.

The hotel is quite old. The pictures on the website are misleading. Really small room and had a hard time opening our luggage inside the room, but unfortunately I think the size is standard in Japan. The stuff don't really know English well. I was hoping they could help me to make ferry reservation for Miyajima, because I was afraid I would have communication problem. The girl who helped me was very hesitant to help me call. The next day I asked another front desk staff to help me reserve the taxi for next morning for 6:30 am and she said she couldn't reserve it because taxi are busy in the morning. I find it odd, but thankfully there were two taxi outside of the hotel the next morning.

This property was excellent in all respects, EXCEPT it was uninhabitable due to an over hot room. When I asked at the desk why the air conditioning was not working and could they check it, the response was that “the air conditioning was turned off in the rooms and only the building fan was working. I could leave the bathroom door open and the st would help”. The bathroom was even hotter! We had to jar the room door open with a provided slipper all night in order to get some of the hallway’s cooler air. How can a major hotel be so careless? We got no sleep in this room and were exhausted after our two night stay. Unless you like to sleep in a sauna, I recommend that you DO NOT stay in this hotel if you want a restful experience.
