Excellent stay, wonderful views that were worth it by itself. My favourite part was lying on the sofa looking at the clouds pour from the mountains. But a couple of things couple could be improved. The spa facilities were not good enough. The sauna wasn’t hot enough, and the jacuzzi did not look clean. Also the big TV in the room didn’t have many working channels, they did have a lot of regional German and Austrian channels though. So bring a HDMI cable and hook your device if you want to stream anything. The staff were wonderful however and the restaurant was good.

We had a wonderful stay up in the mountains at this hotel. The staff was friendly and the room was great with a great view of the mountains right from the balcony. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning with a gorgeous view of the mountains and valley and the pool and hot tub after day of exploring downtown Madeira and an afternoon of hiking in the mountains.
