Customer service was appalling. I was woken up with a bang on my door at 7.15am with Mary delivering my breakfast. I had not asked for room service and was a bit put out. The food consisted of an omelette, some cabbage, bread and a bowl of fruit.
The upstairs restaurant was tired and looked unkempt, with an old and dusty carpet.
I chose this hotel because of the pool and had phoned to check it was in good order. Margaret assured me it was fine. Upon arrival, the pool was dark green with a Guinness bottle, some plastic water bottles and other debris floating on it. I informed staff that the pool water was dark green and they said it was being treated. In fact... on day 4 it was still FILTHY, with the same bottles floating around. As I had no intention of getting any infections, I did not use the pool.
My room was large, with a fridge, air con, flat screen tv etc and the bed was comfortable.
Overall, the hotel is fine if you just need a place to sleep, but don't look for any extras.
Selina was lovely.
